I am editing this post to let everyone know that I will always trust Dr. Massoud and his staff with my GSD Badger. Our 2-year-old Badger recently underwent surgery for what most vets would called an "inoperable" tumor. It was as big as a softball and weighed a pound and a half! Dr. Massoud put his personal life on hold to save my dog! We still await results of the biopsy, but Badger is home and recovering thanks to Dr. Massoud and his staff! They should have a twenty star rating for this feat!

This vet was worth the 2 hour drive we took to get to him. Unlike our experiences with many other vets, he listens carefully when we describe the problem, asks intelligent questions, doesn't leap to a diagnosis instantly nor does he just shrug nonchalantly and say he doesn't know. He also advocates for the tests and products that the animal actually needs, and not just the ones that will add to his bottom line. He actually said during our visit "Well, we could do an x-ray, but it's quite expensive and I think we should just take the simple route and give him probiotic food." Our dog loves him too! Normally our dog's tail is tucked and he shakes violently at other vets, but he gets excited even in the parking lot here. Although their office is very much out of the way and you wouldn't even realize it's there, the facilities and resources they have available are extensive. His staff are attentive, organized, responsive, great with animals, and engaging. His prices have been consistently less than other vets (sometimes because he finds more innovative or practical ways of treating the condition than other vets.) We came for him for a second opinion after meeting a vet who (though kind) didn't seem very serious or invested in my dog, didn't seem to have a clue what was wrong with him, and just said the dog needed $400 worth of tests. For less money this vet sent us home with a month's worth of a special diet, medication, two vaccinations, heartworm meds, deworming, the visit fee itself, and extensive advice. So basically, instead of paying $400 just to get a notion of what *might* be wrong with him, we paid $400 to treat what was wrong with him PLUS prevented a bunch of other unrelated potential problems down the road. We've also used this vet for knee surgery on the dog in the past, and that experience was even more amazing. Cannot recommend this vet enough.

I absolutely love this place. I brought my cats here for boarding a few months ago, and it was a great experience. It's usually difficult to find a place to board cats inexpensively, but at NOVA Pets, I only paid $25/night, which is way less than what I end up having to pay my friends to come feed the cats when I go away for trips. While they were there, they got updated on their vaccinations and set up with Wellness plans. I even could have had them bathed and groomed there if I wanted to, but I think they've got that part handled by themselves. I love that this place has so many services under one roof, and it's AAHA-accredited. That really puts my mind at ease. Honestly, I was just glad to have them somewhere that they would be comfortable, safe, well-fed, loved, and not getting into anything.

This is a great facility! We bring our German Shepherd here for Vet care, boarding, and Doggy Day Camp. DR Masood and his group feel like family, always welcoming and very loving with our dog. It is really reassuring to be able to have boarding, and Day Camp, at a modern facility, that is also part of a Veterinary Hospital. I miss him when we have to travel --but I don't worry about him. Best of all, he's happy to get to the door and go inside, I think that's the most important review of all.

Dr. Masood and his staff (at NOVA Pets Health Center) provide exceptional service and care for our family needs. Whether our dog is there for a routine check-up, receipt of immunization shots, or use of their boarding services, he is treated as a special family member. As we arrive at NOVA Pets Health Center, you can see the joy from our dog by the way he wags his tail and wiggles his body! They make him feel as if he is at home. Our questions are always answered and our concerns always addresses. We appreciate the professionalism and genuine care that Dr. Masood and his staff routinely provide. His sincerity and friendliness certainly made our move to Virginia a memorable and positive experience. Thank you for ensuring our special family member is treated with such care and unconditional attention. It is a blessing to now that we have NOVA Pets Health Center as our veterinary service. May your New Year be prosperous and filled with good cheer!
