This is my second time purchasing a vehicle, and this was by far the best experience I have had with a dealership. The process was smooth from start to finish. My salesperson Paul (Bear) was very knowledgeable and made the experience quick and easy; he took care of everything. The sales manager Eddie gave us a deal we could not refuse and was very helpful with the million questions that we had. Myron the finance manager was very thorough and made the paperwork very easy to understand. I will definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family and will return for any future purchases.

I recently visited the dealership to buy a new 2016 GTI with Performance Package. Bill and I got straight to the point of finding a car, getting paperwork filled out, and driving off as soon as possible. There were no old school dealership games or pressure and I almost backed out of the sale due to some timing issues and wasn't given any trouble. Trying to get a deposit back from most dealerships and walking out is generally a pain, but Bill had no issues with me possibly waiting to purchase the vehicle after I got back from a business trip. When it came to financing and insurance, Myron was quick and wasn't out to make a few percent on top of the car, and was honest and upfront about everything. Every other car buying experience I've had always had some sort of downfall. Northampton Volkswagen did an amazing job with process and I will definitely be back when it is time for a new VW.

I have purchased many cars in my day. From high end exotics to entry level, and everything in between. Never had buying a car been so easy at it was at Northampton VW. I have a very busy work schedule, and initially I linked up with Shawn Andrews in the internet department, whom was able to to facilitate all the information that I was looking for, over the phone, and via emal. Shawn was very professional from the beginning. I appreciate the fact that he was also very aggressive right out of the gate, aggressive in a good way mind you. I loath the unnecessary back and forth that comes with buying a car, and Shawn was to the point right from the start. Always responding to my emails and calls within minutes. Although he was aggressive with his approach, he was never pushy. He listened carefully to what I had to say, and ultimately accommodated the whole process to my liking. At the dealership I also met Jason LeClair, whom aside from having a great sense of humor, was very transparent, honest, and also to the point. He helped my finalize paper work and other small details. Being an out of state customer myself, Jason took it upon himself to drive down to Connecticut's DMW to register my car. Four hours later, he called me to let me know that my car was registered and ready for pick up. If someone is willing to go to DMV, and wait there for four hours to register my car, not only do they have my business. but also my respect, and professional admiration. This whole process from beginning to end was painless, it didn't feel as if I purchased a car. Big thank you to Shawn and Jason, and the rest of the Northampton VW team. VW dealerships in CT should take business advice from these guys.

I have been to many dealerships over the last thirty years, and this is hands-down the best I have worked with. The staff is courteous and very professional. The new facility is state of the art in every respect. I've been going to this dealership since it opened, and have watched it develop into a first-class team. I can recommend them without reservation. Adding to this review a year or more on: In the face or real difficulty, eg the emissions scandal, the service has improved even more: using technology to improve communication by taking videos of the work done or proposed to make the process clearer to their customers. I had an extremely frustrating experience with the Northampton VW service department. I went in for a timing belt change as well as to diagnose and fix a check engine light. While the service representatives seemed nice, my experience with them was that they were unorganized and promised to take care of their customers well, without ever following up on that promise. Here is my list of grievances: - I was given a quote by phone, which was then revised upward about 40% when I scheduled my appointment (they said it was because they didn't check my VIN number for the first quote). - When I first entered their office, the staff ignored me to finish their conversation about how bad their online appointment booking system was. - I used their online booking system, but the representatives said that they couldn't find my appointment. - I was promised that my car would be done by Saturday because the parts were in stock and that I should pick it up on Monday. When I called on Monday, they said that they had not done the repairs yet because they didn't have the parts and hadn't ordered them until just then. In total, the service took five business days. It was expected to take 2-3 days. - I was promised that I would get calls updating me on how the repairs were going. I didn't receive these calls and had to call the service department for updates. - When I did call the service department for progress updates, no one seemed to know what was going on with my car and I was given conflicting information. - I was promised a video of the service done on my car, but when I asked about it, I was told that it must have gotten lost in the system. - A customer service representative called me after my service. She said that she would call me back after finding out why my service went so poorly. She never called me back. My check engine light was on again a couple of weeks after my service. I took it to a different Volkswagen dealership and received much better service there. I would recommend avoiding the Northampton Volkwsagen service department if you can.

I recently purchased a 2015 Golf TSi from Northampton VW. My salesman was Omar Ali, and he was outstanding to work with. Omar has an easy way about him, and is both fun and confident - confident in the excellence of the cars he sells. He was very low pressure - not once did he try to get me to move faster than I was ready to in terms of buying the car. He showed me different models, and in the end he helped me get the model that I wanted within my price range. I would recommend Omar and Northampton VW to anyone who is looking to purchase a car. I am 48 and a professional who lives and works locally and had a wonderful experience at this dealership. Everyone was very nice, they stood by everything they offered, and in the end I'm driving a car that I'm in love with. Bill was also helpful in finding the car and Joseph was great in working with us on our trade in. Thanks again for the great experience! New Review May 25 2016: I purchased a VW Golf TSI last year in the summer and unfortunately the car had a few problems - all covered under warranty but problems nevertheless :( I decided to opt out of the car and was very concerned that I would get "left in the lurch." True to my initial experience last year with Omar, Noho VW came through again and gave me a price on a GTI and a great trade in price that recognized some of the hassle of needing to switch cars. It was painless. I met with Angel and he and the Sales Manager Eddie were excellent and along with Richard in Finance the whole experience was awesome. Thanks again for great sales experience Noho VW!

This is the last place I will EVER go to when looking for a car. I went in on a Sunday to look at a used 2015 Volkswagen Passat, the man helping me went to get the keys and the car wouldn't even start.. A 2015! What could possibly be wrong with it already, and more importantly, WHAT IS IT DOING ON THE LOT?! So I test drove a similar car. I then sat down with the man who was helping me to discuss payment options, and I was asked to put down a $300 security deposit so that "no one could buy the car" and "it'd be saved for me." Put a deposit down... on what?? Imagination? I hadn't even driven the damn car, yet they're asking for a deposit-- I don't think so, pal.They apologized and promised it'd be ready to go that Tuesday. I gave them a whole day extra and called on Wednesday to check the status of the vehicle, and it still isn't ready to go. Empty promises, pressure on the buyer, terrible service, and the audacity to ask for a deposit on something I haven't even test driven. Northampton Volkswagen is lucky Google reviews doesn't have a 0 star option.

I am a return customer to Northampton Volkswagen. I brought in my leased Tiguan for it's first 10K service. Everything went like clockwork. I booked my Spring detailing and looking forward to returning in a month. Ross was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. A perfect experience.
