The first 3 chapters of this book are free and are hilarious and poignant. It hasn't been published yet but will be soon. Her blog is also fantastically well written, and very funny, with great resources for attachment trauma.

"He’s also shown it’s at the root of borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder. He implies (I’m sure it’s true) that it’s at the root of most cases mis-diagnosed as ADHD/ADD. Ever notice how frequently the word “addict” is used? Just do a Google News search on the word and you’ll be shocked just how often it’s used in a headline. Articles are plastered with mentions of drug addicts, sex addicts, gambling addicts, food addicts, shopping addicts, work addicts and internet addicts. “These people” are painted as out-of-control and often menaces to society who need to be stopped, jailed, medicated or otherwise ...

"Do my patients feel heard and seen by me? Would they tell me if they didn’t? Do they feel there is room for their feelings toward me, whether they come from a place of anger, hurt, sadness, joy, love or desire? Can they express them trusting that our relationship will survive? Can they count on me, and trust that I will provide safe boundaries? Can they feel that every part of themselves is acknowledged, accepted and valued?".

An absolutely excellent article.
