Neat - I've actually been wondering when something like this would come out.

Outsmart traffic and save time on the road— #GoogleMaps will notify you if there’s a faster route. Now on iPhone and Android, where navigation is available.

Having two issues with 10.2(Stable) on S3 (d2vzw) -- hoping someone can offer advice?

1: When disconnected from WiFi for a significant period of time (say, an hour or two), scanning seems to halt.  To provide some concrete examples
- I leave work (connected to Work wifi).  When I arrive at home (long commute), the phone will not pick up that my Home network is available unless I turn wifi off/on again.
- I leave home (connected to Home wifi), go out on errands, and return home again -- same thing, phone will not register that my home network is "in range" until I cycle the wifi on/off.

2: Soft keys don't work on the homescreen.  Not a lot of detail to be had here -- I press menu, nothing happens.  I long-press menu (set to "in-app search"), nothing happens.  I press "back", nothing happens.  In all of these cases, I get the vibrate bump that says the phone is recognizing that a key was hit, but nothing else.
The "home" hard key works fine, and the soft keys work in other apps, just not on the home screen.

If anyone else has had these issues, chime in with what solutions (if any) you've found.

This is actually a really neat project -- basically, think the Oculus Rift VR, but using your smartphone as the screen and sensors.  And it has quick-swappable lenses for either 3D movie/game support, or a 2D "virtual big screen" effect.  And the camera is exposed, so it can be used with virtual overlay programs (for sort of a "google glass" effect).

I don't usually do the whole link-propagation thing, but if you like the concept, definitely think about re-sharing/etc.  There's 14 days left on these guys' Kickstarter, and it looks like it could really go either way, so word-of-mouth exposure could legitimately make the difference.

also, once I get one of these things, I will be immediately taking a leaf from +Randall Munroe 's book and trying this: http://xkcd.com/941/

Yep.  I'm really hoping this thing gets enough exposure to succeed in the next week or two.  I'd really like a chance to develop on it, but it continues to dance right on the edge of a comfortable funding trend... so I've been trying to do my part to spread the word, and/or get re-shares going, haha.

This bundle actually has really a lot of high-profile games.

If you grab it, be sure to beat the average.  They almost always add in extra games to the above-the-average pack a week or so later (you still get them even if the average has increased)

Prepare for the Humble Origin Bundle, featuring eight amazing games to play on Windows via Origin! Pay whatever you want for The Sims 3 and Battlefield 3 soundtracks. Pay at least $1 to receive Origin keys for Dead Space 3, Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Medal of Honor, and Mirror’s Edge. Electronic Arts has also provided Steam keys for Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Medal of Honor, and Mirror’s Edge!

Beat the average price to get The Sims 3 + DLC and Battlefield 3! Don’t delay, head over to the site and grab your bundle now!

Heads-up to anyone who plays any games by ArenaNet -- apparently there's some pretty aggressive phishing attempts going around.  The other day, I got an email from a "support" address, something about a GuildWars account being used to sell real items, and a link to re-activate my account.  I have never played GuildWars, nor have I ever made an account.  So, keep an eye out for anything that looks similar to this:

" Greetings

We are sorry to inform you that your login account [your email account] is temporarily closed because it was involved in the sale of in-game items for cash or other items with real world value, or otherwise engaged in gathering items to be sold for cash or other items with real world value. Both actions are against our User Agreement: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-user-agreement/

If you wish to reactivate your account, you should immediately verify your account ownership. Click the link below to validate: [yeah I'm not pasting that here]

Please keep in mind that Guild Wars 2 is a global game with hundreds of thousands of players. This means that standards of behavior must be upheld. For your convenience, you can obtain more information about our rules at the address listed below.

I... I don't understand.  What even is going on?  What are we talking about?  What is happening in that picture?? Why does the URL end in "-BUT-WHAT-ABOUT-BEARVALANCHE" when the article has nothing to do with that word??

Goddangit Google+, I was just sending my brother a link about a film competition... and suddenly everything is natranimal disasters.  I... I don't know how I feel about this, because admittedly it has indeed brought me some quantity of amusement from these apparently  #hashtags ...

Keith you would eat a lot of things.  You do eat a lot of things.  It is, at times, frightening.
