An article in Forbes notes that MLB revenue is up by 21% since 2010, but the growth isn't coming directly from the fans. Income from tickets, premium seating, and parking has only grown by 4%. The local and national TV media have "stepped up to the plate" with contracts adding $1.3 million (Δ 61%) to the bottom line.
