In that International Seminar, there are two speakers who came from Australia.
The First speaker by Professor Caroline Barratt-Pugh. Edith Cowan University Western Australia.
The speaker by Dr. Yvonne Haig. Edith Cowan University Western Australia.
In that seminar, I took a lot of lessons. I interested and enjoy followed that seminar. The purpose of Education is to change the thoughts, feelings and actions of students) Began from how to know “higher order thinking”. This seminar talking about the curricculum in 2013. This definition include “Thinking critically, Thinking creatively, Making decisions & planning, Solving problems, Seeing different perspectives, and Analysing and evaluating information and ideas.
Next lesson, talk about skills for, how can we create a thinking classroom with a curriculum assessment. Assessment is an important component of the teaching and Learning Cycle so practices need to reflect the learning goals of the curriculum; Test and Assessment tasks need to be selected or designed to ensure they measure what they intended to measure; There are many challenges inherent in curriculum change, including aligning assessment practices.
The second material, talked abour “Higher level thinking” is the kind of thinking which seeks to explore questions about existing knowledge for issues which are not clearly defined and for which there are no clear – cut answers. Assessment in 2013 Curriculum. Key questions to address the issue. Assessment, is generally concerned with the collection of descriptive data over time; relating data to a scale or set of development or performance standards or scales; and allows for benchmarking.
After that, there are Testing, Assessment of learning ( is concerned with accountability ). Criterion referenced assessment are used to measure how well students are doing relative to a pre-determined performance level on a specified set of educational goals or outcomes included in a curriculum. Authentic assessment, The teaching and earning Cycle, The Assessment Cycle,
