The problem lies in what the games are made for. Mostly consoles. This means that the game will be ported (often poorly) to the computer and as such, it will not play as well. The issue lies in the controllers that the consoles use. They are slow and difficult to aim with so the developers compensate with two features. Acceleration and aim assist. One of these features are removed from the PC version and it is always the wrong one if you are going to remove only one of them. The developers will remove the aim assist as the mouse is a more accurate control so we should be able to aim well enough without the aim assist.
The problem is though, that the developers do not remove acceleration. When I move my mouse I want it to stick. I don't want the speed to increase. Nor do I want the movement to stop sluggishly like my hand weighs the same as a truck. I want it to stop when I stop. I want the speed to match what I am doing physically. Not to accelerate as I move the cursor.
Why is it so difficult to remove this feature? It removes all playability of the game from the PC version and to be honest, I would rate every game with that feature a 1/10. The game is simply not playable. The story might be good and visuals great. Good composition and great voice acting. But the problem is. If I can't navigate or aim, how am I to enjoy these things? The game becomes a frustrating and annoying piece of junk that should not have been sold to PC gamers. This is part of the cancer of the console generation that is destroying gaming from the inside.
Why hasn't developers caught on to this yet? Is it because we are not vocal enough about the issues? Is it because they simply do not care? Why am I not hearing more complaints about this? Please. Share your opinions. I can not be the only one who feels this is wrong!
