Iguazu Falls: Probably the most beautiful waterfall on earth:)

Impressively big and loud and jawdroppingly beautiful... Iguazu Falls is something that you need to experience to appreciate its grandeur.

This shot was taken from the Brazilian side where the waterfalls are bigger according to the Brazilians😎😎 While this is true, you do get "more" waterfalls in the Argentinean side as it has two-thirds of the Iguazu Falls.

I love both sides as you get to see different aspects of the Iguazu from each area.

But to go from one side to the other, you do need to cross the border. So make sure you have your passport with you and more importantly, your visa. Otherwise you'll be stuck at the border.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend my friends!

Magical, Mystical Mountains of Scotland

The long and winding road leads you to a mind blowing view like this around the Isle of Skye 😍

Even on an overcast, cold and windy day like this, you'd want to stay there and watch the day go by.

Wishing you all a fantastic day or evening my friends:)

Make The Choice. Share your LIGHT:)

Whether you’re just starting to dabble into this wonderful world of photography or an accomplished professional photographer, I invite you to join and help make a difference.

I'm currently running a competition for the BEST photo showcasing Light.
The winner gets a GoPro Hero5 Black ! See link for details, Australia-based only.
http://woobox.com/7snfdq

This is my personal project as my humble attempt at making a difference to others and to the world through my photography.

But I can’t do this to a larger scale without your help.

If you're Australia-based, I urge you to check the competition out. You still own your copyright.

The top 12 photos will be included on the 2018 calendar and book where ALL profits will be donated to World Vision Australia.

I sincerely hope you'd give it a shot:)

As Seth Godin brilliantly puts it:

"Attitude is the most important choice any of us will make. We made it yesterday and we get another choice to make it today. And then again tomorrow.

The choice to participate.

To be optimistic.

To intentionally bring out the best in other people.

We make the choice to inquire, to be curious, to challenge the status quo.

To give people the benefit of the doubt.

To find hope instead of fear in the face of uncertainty.

Of course these are attitudes. What else could they be?

And of course, they are a choice. No one does these things to us. We choose them and do the work (and find the benefits) that come with them."

Wishing you all a fantastic 2017 my friends!

Much love,
Nila

PS:
This image was taken at the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry, in Scotland during my last visit.

Hello 2017!🙌

For a lot of reasons, 2016 has been a tumultuous year. Some even call it murderous after claiming so many lives, both the famous and the unknown.

If I could sum up 2016 for me in one word, it's CHANGE. I quit a secure and high profile job in March to pursue my own path.

I had a number of disappointing setbacks that I had to get over with.
BUT.... I also had a number of wins. I launched my property website, got serious about my photography and ticked off a couple of items in my bucket list.

I also won a big project that I am starting to work on. It involves photography and while I can't announce yet, I'm exceedingly excited about it.

In fact I'm currently running a competition (see above post for details) that you might want to check out if you're Australia- based.

Indeed, it's been a big year, and an interesting one at that. I've met so many incredible people here who continue to support me and inspire me to pursue what I love.

You all touched me in so many ways and my life has been richer as a result. Thank you for shining your light on me🙏

I wish you all the best for this coming year.
May 2017 be filled with unsurpassed happiness and beautiful moments.
And may you have the courage to pursue what you love and live the life you've always wanted.

All love,
Nila❤

Chasing Lady Aurora

She came. She danced. And then she was gone...

No matter how many times I've seen the Aurora Borealis dance, I'm just awe-struck every single time.

Even if she only appears briefly, it's enough to satisfy my Aurora cravings. At least for the moment. Until I go chasing her again:)

Wishing you all a magical day or evening my friends:)

This is why everybody wants to visit Tasmania:)

It meant to be a quick drive to the campsite... But somehow you find yourself driving on a dirt road, in the middle of the forest, late at night. And rapidly running out of gas.

You realise that either: a) you've entered the wrong address to the GPS or b) +Google decided to pull a prank on you.

Either way, you're in the middle of nowhere. And then you realise you just lost your phone signal altogether.

You start hearing all sorts of noise. You've arrived at the suicide route, where wombats, kangaroos, rabbits and assorted mammals come to die!

You see them looking at you as if taunting you with their shining, bulging eyes just before they jump in front of your car.

You try hard not to hit any of them. But you're too distracted by the thought of a serial killer about to pounce.

You keep telling yourself you'll get to the campsite soon. But the farther you drive, the darker and rougher the road gets.

You're now down to your last few litres of fuel. You want to turn around but you keep driving forward as if hypnotised by the dark road ahead.

Finally, you get to the end of the road only to find out it's a 4WD track!

You have no choice but to turn around.

At this point, you're sure that you're going to die... But first, you're going to try to get back to town and vow to avoid picking up any hitchhikers.

Meanwhile, the wombats and wallabies are now trying even harder to get killed and they're appearing in front of you more frequently and in greater numbers.

You want to stop and film. It'll make a great IG story! But you decide to drive on instead and try hard to avoid running over any of these suicidal maniacs.

It feels like an eternity but somehow you manage to get back to town unscathed. You fuel up, ask for direction to this campsite and find it within 10 minutes drive from the town.

You take a big sigh of relief as you finally arrive at your destination.
You get out of the car, look up and see this...a sky adorned with millions of stars. And Milky Way!

You smile, grab your camera, take a few shots and savour the magical moments of silence under the dark and starry Tasmanian sky 😊

Wishing you all a beautifully wild day or evening my friends:)

What's really driving Australia's property markets?
Hint: It's not what you think.

#realestate #propertyinvestment #australia #realestateinvestment
If you think the law of supply and demand rules the Australian property markets, think again. Expert says there's a more powerful and subtle force at play.

Living on the Edge!

For me, 2017 is about raising my standards and living BIG and LOUD like a waterfall:)

No more hiding behind my excuses. I must now tackle these big plans, big projects and big adventures.

It's time for me to let go of all these disempowering habits, beliefs...and even people.

It's time to start pushing my limit. It's time to start living on the edge!

Wishing you all an empowered year ahead my friends:)

Iceland on a fine clear day:)

Iceland's weather is notoriously unpredictable, especially during autumn when it's mostly overcast and rainy.

So when you get a clear day like this, you get to fully appreciate the grandeur of its landscapes.

The mountains that soar to the sky, glaciers that go on forever...it's truly a photographer's paradise.

It's a place I'd go back to in a heartbeat. Perhaps in winter to enjoy its whiteness:)

Wishing you all a fantastic day or evening my friends!

The Spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall

It's one of Iceland's most popular and arguably most beautiful waterfalls, Skogafoss is truly a magnificent sight to behold.

It's massive at 25 metres wide and 60 metres high and easily accessible from Reykjavik.

I was so excited to see it and even did my victory jump:)

Wishing you all a fantastic day or evening my friends!

All love,
Nila

PS
I know I've been pretty sporadic in posting lately. That's because I'm working on an exciting new project that I hope to announce soon:)
