If you have Sonicwall then you need to update. As soon as you have the chance to.

Nice. I'm quite happy with my Fire TV. I'm using Playstation Vue through it, and having a good experience so far.

Thousands of insulated water bottles designed for children and sold by L.L. Bean are under recall for lead content because the Chinese manufacturer used the wrong kind of solder material.
Thousands of insulated water bottles designed for children and sold by L.L. Bean are under recall for lead content because the Chinese manufacturer used the wrong kind of solder material. About 6,700 of the recalled bottles were sold online, at retail stores and through the L.L. Bean catalog from July 2015 through May of this year,... Continue Reading

Supposedly, the previous definition of “assault rifles” was based on various cosmetic fixtures and attachments, none of which alter the unerdlying functionality of the weapon system. These include items like flash suppressors or a folding stock. Shops selling semiautomatic rifles without such features were allowed to do business. But Healey’s new unilateral directive states that any rifle with the same, “internal operating systems that are essentially the same as illegal assault weapons, or have key functional components that are interchangeable with those of banned weapons” will now be banned as well.

In case you didn’t catch the implication of that statement, it means that essentially every semiautomatic rifle on the market is now banned.

Boldly goes where no coder has gone before... and other ramblings :)
Introduction
Father of three, husband to a beautiful lady, 'daddy' to two gorgeous Golden Retrievers.

I am a nerd and proud of it. I love discovering new technologies and ways to integrate them with applications.

I mainly program in PHP so that is the core of my technology posts. I am an avid supporter of Test Driven Development (TDD) and always try to get 100% coverage in my code. I might not succeed all the time but I do try :)

I am interested in new things, innovative, things that break out of the norm. This is why I am one of the core team of PhalconPHP (www.phalconphp.com), a PHP framework written completely in C. I am helping with tests, documentation, builds and some support.

Huge supporter of Ferrari and Formula 1 as well as the Washington Redskins (NFL).

I believe in family values, I am pro life and although I cannot vote (since I am not a US citizen), I align myself with the majority of the conservative viewpoints, small government and upholding the Constitution of the United States.

To those that chose to circle me, a couple of points:
  • If you wish to be in one of my circles please let me know. My circles are: Technology, AngularJS, PHP, Formula 1, Linux, Patriots, Phalcon PHP.
  • If you have nothing on your profile I will not circle you back, since I don't know anything about you.
  • Be respectful even if you do not agree with what I post. It is perfectly fine to agree to disagree. You always have the option to block or remove me from your circles as I do.
  • I post mostly publicly unless it is a specific subject only interesting to a particular circle.
Thanks for checking my profile out and have a blessed day!

I am the webmaster and part owner of a very busy website (circa 1000 members online on average at any time). We were experiencing performance issues on our cluster and unfortunately we could not iron out the problem. We hired Axivo Inc. to perform an analysis of the website and apply optimizations where necessary. Axivo Inc. managed to boost our performance by at least 400%. They installed their custom performance centric packages as well as their custom built search engine for vBulletin - Searchilight. Our server loads have dropped drastically, our server response time has been reduced and we are now able to serve our content faster to a much wider amount of users. Axivo Inc has also been there after the sale, with constant updates to their packages, notifications of 'slow code', performance hints and tips, answers to questions and much more. A big thank you to this very professional company!
