Crane and Red Barn

Where I live we've been having one of the warmest and driest summers for a long time (if not forever). Yesterday we got a couple of millimeters worth of rain. Not much, but it at least was enough to create some fog in the morning. As I photographer I of course love that, so I just had to get up early and get some shots.

Just a couple of hundred of meters from home I ran into this crane who was out for his morning walk (I watched him walk some hundred meters...). In the background there's a typical Swedish barn, red and white.

One of many photos from an enjoyable morning :-)

Training on the Bund

The Bund is a popular place and as such it is usually filled with people. In the morning there's definitely less people and you get the additional bonus of people doing different kinds of training.

I have always wanted to catch people doing some kind of martial arts with the Lùjiāzuǐ skyline behind them, and these started a kata just as we walked by. Perfect timing!

Storforsen

Storforsen is a rapid in Piteälven in northern Sweden. With a flow of 250 m3/s it is one of the largest in Europe. When it peaks during summer it can be up to 900 m3/s. The drop is about 60 m and the view is magnificient! You can get up close to the waterfall, where the sound is deafening. On the right side there is a lot of smaller waterfalls and there's also a lot of fireplaces where people can bring their food.

It's a perfect place to visit with family. So far I've been there three times, but there will be more!

Winter Oak

In the area where I live there's quite a lot of oaks. "Naked" oaks without all the leafs really make perfect subjects for photography. On this day I was out to catch the snowstorm. But since it really wasn't much of a snowstorm something else had to be done. When we passed by this beautiful oak we of course had to stop the car :-)

134 seconds of snowmobile

Sometimes I use my cameras for making film instead of photography. Enjoy!

Actual winter

Finally we've had a couple of weeks with real winter. There's snow and it's been rather cold. Yes, I do like that :-)

The Three Towers

Morning view from one of my favorite hotels in Shanghai, the JW Marriott at the Tomorrow Square. Almost four years ago.

In April I'm going back to Shanghai again, this time as a tourist only, no work to do. Bringing wife and friends as well :-)

Shanghai Night Life

Night life in Shanghai ends rather early. Many restaurants close at 9-10 and subway stops at 11. But until then there's lots to catch for a photographer:-)

Autumn Reflection

I must say I was really glad when I found this spot. All different tones from green to red in one place, perfectly reflected in the water. Yep, I got a bunch of photos :-)
