Last week I wrote an introduction to SonarQube for Android. I wrote a follow-up, a how-to implement this in your application: https://medium.com/@nielsz/android-quality-with-mvp-espresso-junit-jacoco-and-sonarqube-3430d9ee4a4a
In my last post, I explained why you should use SonarQube. In this post, I’m going to show you how to setup an Android a…

I certainly hope that their business model is to get bought by google so that it becomes part of the official toolchain.
Develop your Android applications in real time. The changes you make are automatically applied to your running application. Works with real devices and

I found a quirk today while reading the new permissionscreen in the latest version of Google Play.
The support page (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/6014972?p=app_permissions&rd=1) tells me this in two alineas:
1: "These days, apps typically access the Internet, so network communication permissions including the “full Internet access” permission have been moved out of the primary permissions screen."
2: "If you have automatic updates enabled, you won't need to review or accept these permissions as long as they are included in a permissions group you already accepted for that app."

Is it so that when I give the permission "android.permission.INTERNET", this won't be primarily shown.
Now when I create an update on the "android.permission-group.NETWORK", adding all other underlying permissions, these won't be shown when I update?
Securitywise this seems kinda strange. What do you think?

Is it possible to start the navigation from a messaging app? For example, I send a notification: "I'm waiting for you at [location]". Now there's only a reply button, but I'd like a "Navigate to" button.

On 0.8.14, when using a dependency, for example "compile 'com.squareup.retrofit:retrofit:1.7.0'", it doesn't show a message anymore that 1.7.1 is available. Is this a bug? #gradle

Lint will tell you about more recently available versions for Gradle versions that it can check "cheaply", e.g. the local Maven repositories (the Android support repository and the Google repository). It doesn't connect to remote repositories to check for available updates in the background in the editor, but there is a lint check you can enable on the command line which will actually connect to remote repositories and see if there is anything more recent available.
