Originally a robot created by a young prodigy to offer online advice and reviews to get his social channels more subscribers, but quickly changed to become a thieving robot in order to draw in even more viewers. How long before S.E.L.F.I.E.’s viewers insist she try to take on a hero?

More Laura Bailey goodness. Page two of the interview touches on Tabletop, Critical Role and Titansgrave RPG.
You may not know her name, but you will know her voice. She has been Jaina Proudmoore in World of Warcraft, and done voice work for Diablo 3, Dragon Age, Dragon Ball Z and Halo. She has more than 200 games, anime shows and films to her credit, and Laura Bailey just keeps on going.

Quiet alpine snow fields may occasionally be disturbed by strange protrusions in sinuous lines, as though something had passed beneath the snow without breaking the surface. The wise know this to be a sign of dangerous snow eels, and take precautions against the electrifying terrors that have been known to shock both man and horse in order to feed on the stunned victims.

"...I fully recommend you give this series a chance. If you haven’t played any D&D type games before and think you might be interested, this show will show you the kind of gaming experience you could have."

And of course, once you've watched each episode, there's an excellent discussion show afterward. whistles softly https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbz52YTB9MLi7pCvdawiPug

With the news that two women passed the physical tests to become Army Rangers and that the Navy Seals are also allowing women to apply, I am reminded of the one slightly uncomfortable exchange I had at one of my GenCon panels (the diversity in art panel with Rich Thomas) where an older dude started veering off into "But what about the inherent physical differences between men and women? Are you saying your female fighter would have an 18/00 strength?" territory.

It was such an unexpectedly old-fashioned argument, I almost didn't know how to respond to him. That's really just not a thing in game design anymore (and not something that you'd be representing in art anyway). Using AGE as my example, I said that if rather than trying to codeify the "differences" between a male and a female warrior, trying to say she's a warrior who relies on her "superior fine motor skills" or something like that, we just say that warriors have a standard set of skills and abilities and ANYONE who is a warrior has those skills and abilities. Kinda like these newly minted Army Rangers.

That answer earned me a somewhat sour look from the old gamer dude but he didn't press it. He'll keep playing his old games the way he likes them. And good for him, it's HIS fantasy life not mine. Meanwhile, women are pressing to break boundaries and crush stereotypes in the real world and some of us are going to continue to reflect that stuff in the work we do in the fantasy realm as well.

Oh, this guy was just in the audience, asking questions of the panel. I was the one seated on the panel with Rich.
