"We're either going to do that in some practical way when things get bad enough or we're going to keep going the way we're going, at which point there's going to be enough people standing on the outside of this mess that somebody's going to pick up a brick, because you know when people get to the end there's always the brick."

Good stuff.

“This case shows the courts sensibly disdain those with a blind spot for science, whether it be denying that vaccines work, or denying that the earth is round.”

Brantford Superior Court Justice R. John Harper didn’t agree with any of the mother's arguments against the vaccine, including that there are “unmistakable links” between vaccines and severe reactions.

Visit Huffington Post, get your hard drive encrypted, receive a ransom request.

The hack described here worked with or without anti-virus installed. This is yet another example that highlights the "If you don't go to bad sites you'll be fine" mantra simply doesn't work.

Spread through Google's DoubleClick by ad networks, malware could have hit many.

"Hopefully this will be enough to start reversing the trend of seemingly every site on the internet pushing ever closer to full pants on head retarded with each successive April 1st."
Altered code undermined Google defenses against click-jacking attacks.

+Nicolay Doytchev - I don't know if it means much, but Sony may well be one of the Best OEMs at handling this update. Them or Motorola.

Now it's gone. I wonder what Google needed to do in a foreground service. I assume it's what the notification was needed for. Unless it is a bug.

April 2015 Material Design Spec Update

Here on the #materialdesign team at Google, we’re always listening to community feedback and looking for ways to broaden and expand the specification to better fit the needs of designers everywhere. Today we’re publishing an update to google.com/design/spec that draws on extensive conversations we’ve had with designers and developers over the past few months. The update includes 7 new sections, as well as refinements to content in existing sections.

Some highlights:

Data tables: guidance on presenting data sets, particularly in desktop products
Units and measurements: a description of the different units used in material design, including guidance on using density-independent pixels (DPs)
App structure: suggestions for top-level navigation in your app
Component sticker sheet for After Effects to help streamline your motion design workflow
Floating action buttons now have their own section, with added guidance on behavior and transitions
• Updated guidance on Typography, Cards, Dialogs, Tabs and Scrolling.

For all the gory details, check out the What’s New section in the spec: goo.gl/3aB3xM

Great setting. Very cheap for the quality of drinks and food. Professional staff. If you are looking for a nice patio to spend the night with friends in Mississauga, look no further.

The best place for electronic music in Toronto, period. CODA is the new Footwork. It's a place for true electronic music lovers. Here, I've seen and heard names like Josh Wink, Ricardo Villalobos, Adriatique, Sasha, Solomun, Ida Engberg, Adam Beyer, Art Department, Ten Walls and many, many more. The crowd is mature for its age and the vibe is amazing. The electric music culture runs as deep as the owners themselves, one of which plays himself. The staff is very friendly from the security to the bartenders - they treat you like a customer and a human being. If you love electronic music - you should visit CODA.
