Better structured and more reliable routine for ownership requests in Google My Business

It seems that Google integrated a more robust and better built-in routine for requesting ownership of an already owned listing.

In the past this process would result in a couple of loose emails between the requester and Google support until a decision and/or action was made about transferring ownership. Often these emails would get lost or quite hidden when using auto-group features in Gmail and Outlook.

Now Google only uses email to confirm the request (see first screenshot) and to link to a new "admin role claim" status page within the backend of Google My Business (see second screenshot). All further action is done from there. However, in order to open this particular status page one has to follow the link in the email. There seems to be no link within the Google My Business backend itself (would be very handy though...)

There is also a new advice to suggest new edits to the pending listing while waiting for an answer to speed up changes to the live listing.

Google My Business Backend gets a new dashboard area with account summary, to-do's and a reminder for holiday hours

Spotted this today with one of my clients.

Looks pretty neat, the to-do-list features tasks such as "Google updates", "Provide store codes", etc.

The box for holiday hours is a friendly reminder to provide these special hours to Google My Business. It lists the next five holidays and is available for a lot of countries (see second link below).

Google My Business and localized Google Shopping ads (with inventory search) combined

This must be fairly new: IKEA seems to be piloting a new combination of Google My Business and Google Shopping lists in Germany. I just stumbled about this and wanted to let you know.

I took some screenshots from Google Web and Maps search into the localized Google Shopping lists and product detail view. (Google Shopping screenshots only in German, sorry)

In the screenshots there is this link named "Products: Search for items in the store"

Do you have other examples in your country?

+Nicolai Helling you have to fill out a request form for inclusion. Looks like it is a lot of big brands at the moment (Macy's & Sephora are also featured on the LIA page). https://services.google.com/fb/forms/localinventoryads/?hl=en&rd=1

Does anyone know, how to provide multiple business hours as shown in the recent blog post at https://www.blog.google/products/search/know-you-go-google/?

Are they grouped by Google itself in the same way a single store in a mall links to the main listing of the mall?

For example: I have a client with Home Improvement Stores that sometimes have a bakery within the building. The bakery is run by a different owner, e.g. a local bakery brand and is qualified to have a listing on its own. If both the Home Improvement Store and the bakery inside have each its own listing will Google group their hours now?

And what about a Drive-In department? It also has its own hours and is inside the whole building. Should I create a separate listing for it and wait for Google to display its hours in the main listing?

Any insights on that would be great!
Thx!

Quick question: I have a ton of experience with setting up and maintaining Google My Business but little to no experience with doing the same for Apple Maps. Is it very different? Does Apple allow bulk uploads? How is the verification process for bulk? Thanks so much in advance.

Bitte so bleiben.

Bedienung ist sehr down to earth und easy. Kommen gerne wieder!
