My flight from Austin was as 2:20pm.
Just lining up at the gate when we were told the flight was canceled because of a mechanical problem with the plane.
Waited 3 hours for next flight.
On landing at Chicago we stopped short of the gate because there was no crew there waiting for us. Sat there for about 40 minutes, by which time my connecting flight had left.
Found a crappy hotel and got an alarm call at 3:30am to get to my 6:00am flight to Montreal.
Flight left on time, and landed on time.
But…my baggage didn’t arrive. Right now it’s still in Chicago.
So I walk to the parking area, and slide exhausted and pissed off into my car. Turn the key…and nothing happens. Flat battery.
Oh….and as a welcome home gift, we had about a foot of snow last night!
With that much in the “bank”, I don’t anticipate any travel problems for the next 5 years!
