While we wait to see who the new Captain America will be, here's a quick primer on all the men to officially hold the position up til now.
Next1 of 7Prev postUse your ← → (arrows) to browse Steve Rogers is one of a kind. So is Captain America, at least as a symbol. But if we’ve learned anything over years of reading Marvel comics, it’s that the man and the costume aren’t necessarily synonymous. During times when Rogers has given up the […]

Next, hands-on time with Batman: Arkham Knight for Bam Smack Pow.
If this really is it for Rocksteady and the Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight should take it out with a bang. The Warner Bros. Interactive booth at E3 had the newest and allegedly last game in the franchise playable in closed-door sessions with developers from Rocksteady to walk people through roughly 20 minutes of gameplay […]

Can Team Arrow pull together to save Starling City in the final showdown with Deathstroke and his army? Read on and see how the Season 2 finale went down.
Cue Europe, because it’s time for “The Final Countdown.” Oliver Queen and his allies have to save Starling City from Slade Wilson and his army, and they need to do it fast before a drone strike levels the whole place. Can they pull it off? Who will live and who will die? Are we finally […]

Bandai Namco made a bunch of announcements for release dates, features and the like for console and PC games for the rest of 2014. Here are most of them:
Bandai Namco had a lot to announce when it came to the console and PC portion of its Global Gamers Day keynote presentation. Most of the games were later shown to the journalists on hand, and quite a few were playable in demo rooms, but at the beginning, it was just a rapid fire barrage […]

The Infinite Crisis team has asked DC for some crazy takes on its characters for the upcoming MOBA and had nothing but success so far. I found out why and how from the game's executive producer.
With the entire DC Multiverse to play with, the people at Turbine working on the upcoming MOBA Infinite Crisis didn’t have to strain themselves inventing multiple variations of famous characters like Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman. Open up an older Elseworlds graphic novel or any comic set in one of the 52 Earths other than the […]

Since it's on mobile devices instead of PC, World of Tanks Blitz isn't EXACTLY the same as World of Tanks. And that's okay.
I’m having a hard time putting down World of Tanks Blitz. Part of the problem is that my kids keep bugging me to play so they can watch. The other part is that despite making some concessions to ensure the multiplayer experience works on mobile devices, it’s similar enough to its excellent PC sibling in all …

You want E3 impressions? You got E3 impressions! First, hands-on with Mortal Kombat X for Gamesided.
If you’ve seen any of the trailers for Mortal Kombat X, you already know the tenth installment in the long-running fighting game franchise is going to be just as brutal and ridiculous-in-a-good-way as we’ve all come to expect. What the hands-on play sessions on the E3 floor showed was just how much the new game […]

Nintendo: "Yep, we didn't do too well last year. But, hey, new Pokemon games!"
It seems like Nintendo wants to steer the conversation away from their disappointing financial report with some exciting Pokemon news. Mission: accomplished, as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set to hit the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS this coming November. They will likely serve as updated versions of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, just […]

If you like RPGs, you'll like Therian Saga. So says its developer Virtys, who wants everyone to know why it shouldn't be dismissed just because you play it in your browser.
Early on in my conversation with Virtys’ Laurent Devigne at PAX East, I find myself explaining why I haven’t tried his studio’s free-to-play MMORPG Therian Saga yet. I just haven’t had the time, I say, because even though it looks really intriguing, it seems so complex for …“For a web game?” he said, laughing while doing so. “Go ahead, you can say it.”It’s true, and it’s unavoidable. If there’s still a little skepticism among a segment of the gam...

There's life as an indie developer, and then there's being a sub-label within an indie studio. I talked to Jason Cirillo of Robotube and Gaijin Games to find out what that's like.

How can Triple H deal with the Shield? How about fighting fire with fire, or to be more precise, fighting stable with stable?
Triple H has been foiled at every turn in recent months, which can't sit well with the COO. Having lost the battle with Daniel Bryan, he's got to act to ensure he doesn't lose a war with the Shield. We'll see what his next move will be in Birmingham, Alabama, as Raw beams our way live on USA.
