"Bar time" is apparently a timezone which exists only at Cha Cha Lounge and represents 15 minutes of time travel into the future. Let me explain... A group of 4 friends and myself went downstairs to Cha Cha Lounge last night on a Wednesday night. We got there sat down and realized they were still in happy hour (which stated 4-8pm on the menu). We rushed to the bar as it was 7:48pm and wanted to get in a round while still on happy hour. When we got there I ordered a drink off the happy hour menu and the bartender told me a higher price. I asked if the drink was included in the happy hour menu, he said yes but happy hour has ended. I was a bit puzzled. I looked at my Android Wear watch, which syncs to my phone which gets its time from my cell provider, which gets the time from NIST-F1 atomic clock. So I KNEW when my watch said 7:48pm it was accurate and thus still within happy hour, but the bartender looked at me and said that, "bar time was after 8pm and it was no longer happy hour." What the hell is "bar time?" I told him I didn't want the drink and we would simply take out business elsewhere. He eventually said he would override the price and sell us our food and drinks at the happy hour price. Still... he shouldn't have to do that. If they advertise happy hour from 4-8pm, the computer should automatically put the happy hour price if a sale is made before 8pm. There is no such thing as "bar time."

Very friendly and open office. Adjustments were more thorough than previous ones I had in the past. Check their site and local ads for specials they are running. I was able to get a free 1 hour massage with an ad I saw. Also they worked with my insurance and made the entire process smooth and easy. Great friendly staff!

I wish that I didn't have to be writing this, but it seems that yet again there is a place which no longer wants my business. I will not only no longer give it to them, but also encourage everyone I meet to also boycott establishments with archaic and outdated ideals of proper business practices, especially when their customers have prescription devices which they outright ban. Last Sunday my partner and I were on Broadway heading to an event and decided to get some food beforehand. We walked into Charlies and they asked if we wanted a booth or to sit at the bar. It was the tail end of happy hour so we decided to check out the bar and the happy hour menu. The last time we were here we also sat in the back bar with friends in July 2013. At that time I was wearing Google Glass and had no issues. This time, June 2014, we sit at a table in the back bar area, and order our drinks. The drinks (a beer and bloody mary) came to us, which were pretty average prices for happy hour. We ordered a few items from the happy hour menu. You wouldn't be reading this particular review if we ever actually got our food. What happened next is the reason I write this review of the staff and my experience at Charlie’s on Broadway. At this time we had been inside about 10 minutes and were enjoying our drinks. A staff member comes up and says that I “must remove Google Glass. The bartender didn't know the policy.” I begin to explain how these are my prescription frames and how I don't own any others. He didn't care. I tell him that we had been in previously without any issues while wearing Google Glass. He didn't care. I even went as far as to reach in my bag for my GlassKap (a 3D printed cap which goes over the camera and/or the prism). I told him that I can put a cap on the camera, prism, AND turn off Google Glass, yet he still irrationally raised his voice and told me that I would have to remove Google Glass or leave. I advised him that I don’t support nor give money to businesses, organizations, etc which don't allow me to be there without Google Glass and as such we wouldn't be paying for our drinks, and would simply leave. He stated that was fine and we gathered our belongings and left. We ended up at local competitor's establishments for our dinner and will never spend another cent at Charlie’s on Broadway and again will advise every person I know to do the same. The staff member was irrational and wouldn’t listen to logic nor reason. He raised his voice at me when I was trying to offer solutions and I don’t need to be treated like that. Don’t give Charlie’s on Broadway your business.
