Page ownership, Privacy, Personalized URLs
Hey everyone! Time for the latest Google+ Help Weekly Round-Up where the top trending questions of the week are answered!
There were a lot of great topics this week, and it was tough to keep it down to three posts. To learn more about Google+, spend some time browsing through the Google+ Help community. You get the benefits of a tremendous amount of user experience, without having to do all the work. You may even find someone who has a question that you can answer.
1) The idea that a business Page is owned by one person and can be managed by several people is simple. After all, businesses are made up of people who have roles in the business. The difficulty arises when the role of Page owner isn’t formally transferred when the former owner leaves the business. A little advance planning can save a lot of hassle later.
For example, was trying to re-gain access to his company’s business Page after the employee who owned the page had left the company.
advised him to get in touch with the owner of the page, and ask him to transfer the ownership of the Google+ page to someone who is currently in the organization (https://support.google.com/plus/answer/2380629).

2) Privacy questions this week ranged from needing help with “privacy settings for dummies”, to confusion about what it means to be added to someone’s circles.
+MelvinWren was concerned about what comes up on a Google search on him. He’d rather be known for some art or music that he made or something he accomplished, instead of YouTube videos comments he’s made.
suggested several approaches, including 'keeping your YouTube comments private', 'use a page for commenting instead of your profile', and 'downgrade your Google+ profile'. And offered a link to this post he had made on the subject https://plus.google.com/+JohnSkeats/posts/jM3Rkm5kEBi.

3) Getting a personalized URL for a business page isn’t too difficult as long as you verify your page with your company’s website first.
wanted a custom URL for her business, and was having trouble finding out how to link her website to her G+ page.
provided a wealth of information about custom URLs, including links to these articles: Getting Started with Google+ Custom URLs (https://support.google.com/plus/answer/2676340) and Custom URLs on Google+ for everyone (http://www.gplusexpertise.com/2013/10/custom-urls-on-google-for-everyone.html). She also added as a bonus, a link to Tip of the Week: How to send feedback on Google+ [via a GIF!] (http://goo.gl/O08n18)

► Tip of the Week
Did you know you can search within a community? The Google+ Help Community is a great place to go when you have questions about Google+ (obviously!). Not only can you get specific answers from anyone in the community, you can learn about others with the similar or identical questions, and see what answers they received. The best part is, you don’t have to browse through all the posts to find what you’re looking for: you can search the community. Google is a search company, after all!
explains it beautifully in this post: https://plus.google.com/+JaanaNystr%C3%B6m/posts/WiTmUqwTmUe

Learn how to Fort Knox your account
Seriously, take your login credentials and your whole account security serious!
I use nearly every Google product and the best thing in using them, is the single login for sure. No need to have 10 different accounts and login details for 10 products.
Single login is an awesome feature and the gate to your digital life. Do you lock your front door at home? Why? Because it gives you a safe feeling and it keeps strangers away from your private place.
Do yourself a favour and secure your online life as well. Its that secure and yet so easy.
Reminded by about that post.

5 Reasons Why Explore Is Important
1. The Explore section will allow you to research hashtags to see what others are sharing for a specific hashtag.
2. It will also give you a list of many similar hashtags to the one that you explore/research.
3. It allows you to find great content that you can then +1 or reshare with others.
4. After exploring, you can figure what hashtags will work best for reaching your target market.
5. Find new people to circle and engage with regarding the hashtags that you find.

Follow our weekly posts that highlight some cool things you may not know (brownie points if you do!) about how to make the most of Google+.
When you take photos from your Google+ app on Android, editing them is a cinch: just click the pencil icon and get swiping!
Open your favorite photo, and try out filters like Drama, Vintage, Retrolux and more. Go ahead, try them all.
Pro tip: If you want a more subtle change, try adjusting your Auto Enhance to Normal or High intensity in the Photos editor.

Google updated the YouTube Android app aside from doggie bone. It adds features it should have had for years.
You can like playlists now, reply to comments, flag comments, and playlists are separated.
They fixed the playlists though, if you noticed how broken it was. The copy to clipboard contains the title, and the shorter youtu.be link to use to link embedded videos on Google+.The mobile site still is better though. You still can't 1+ comments, sort them, and just is horrible. Browse view isn't here still and commenting on channels. So send those on the feedback.
A link share, or embedded link, is when you create a Google+ post and paste a URL into the "Link" field (versus a photo or video). If your featured image is wide enough (assume 570px or more) you'll get this beautiful new look, with the title, business page name (for some), and meta description written underneath.
Google+ has now joined the ranks of Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest for giving links more visual love in the stream.
As it turns out, this article talks a little more about what you should be thinking about when it comes to social media posting, and I can't help but smile at what this is going to do for my results :D
UPDATE: These link shares are now all nofollow (although found one that's hidden and still may pass "juice" but this is such a new development that it's too early to tell whether that will still be the case)
(More info on the new look for links from : http://www.googleplusdaily.com/2014/03/google-link-posts-receive-massive.html )
