So the pub has its own g+ page now. Won't be long before it will be going out all night and leaving dirty pizza boxes on its bedroom floor. #allgrowedup

Good day at the National Brewery Centre in Burton on Trent yesterday. Good beer, good company, good food.

Saw this yesterday in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Apparently the business is so "fantastic" that it's been shut for at least four months, and even the open day last October didn't turn up anyone crazy enough to want to rent from Punch Taverns. Seems odd that they've not even come back to take the sign down four months later, though...

Great trip to Manchester at the weekend with +Tim Skelton +Gavin Whyman and +Kate Ahrens - Saturday's Beer Festival at the National Cycling Centre was the perfect combination of fast bicycles and interesting beer. Sunday's trip to Manchester's Rapha Cycling Club was a triumph of timing, as we got to watch the closing 20k of the penultimate stage of the TDU and then browse the exhibition of Oliver Soulas's photographs of several of the giants of road cycling.

Let's do that again!
