I will be following this with interest. There is a link in this article that allows you download scans of the book in PDF format. It could be an elaborate hoax but I guess for now we will just have to wait and see.
A Spanish publishing house has finally been given permission to make exact copies of the Voynich Manuscript - a 15th century book written in a mysterious coded language that no one has cracked.

Is there hope for us yet?, possibly but we need to get our skates on.
It’s no secret that the planet is in serious trouble. By August 8 this year, we’d already used up an entire year’s worth of resources - leaving us in the planetary red five days earlier than we were last year.

- Nearly twice as dense as lead, one cubic foot weighs more than 1,200 pounds. #ThatsGold.
- So malleable, you can hammer a cubic foot of the stuff into a sheet large enough to gild Rio’s Olympic stadium. #ThatsGold
- There’s more that 300 metric tons of it embedded in every 500-meter metallic asteroid that orbits the Sun. #ThatsGold
- Extraordinary conductor. Excellent for the surfaces of electrical contacts. #ThatsGold
- Unequalled reflector of infrared light. It’s the coating of choice for @NASA’s James Web Space Telescope. #ThatsGold
- In pure form, soft enough to bite and leave teeth-marks. As people once did to verify the authenticity of coins. #ThatsGold
- Highly non-chemically reactive. Would last a billion years in space. #ThatsGold
- Forged atom-by-atom, only via thermonuclear fusion in the explosive remains of high mass stars. #ThatsGold

Sweet, but I wouldn't want one, it looks uncomfortable and dangerous :-) Perhaps I am just getting old.
Admit it, every time you climbed about your trusty bicycle as a kid you imagined yourself hopping on one of the Speeder Bikes used on Endor in Return of the Jedi. Most of us let go of that fantasy, but the folks at Vintage Works did not. It doesn’t fly, but this Speeder Bike motorcycle is undoubtedly the next best thing.

I really like Neil De Grasse Tyson and his teachings, a man of science and common sense.

Very interesting read.
If you’re counting on technology to radically extend your lifespan, you’ll want to pay close attention to what’s happening with the Greenland shark. According to a new scientific paper, this mysterious deep-sea dweller can live up to 400 years, making it the longest-lived vertebrate on Earth.

Interesting discovery, the fact that red dwarfs are host to an abundance of rocky planets and better yet Proxima Centauri is looking like it has an "Earth-like" planet in orbit is exciting news.
Rumors are flying that astronomers at the European Southern Observatory have discovered an Earth-like exoplanet in the habitable zone of Proxima Centauri, our nearest neighboring star. If confirmed, this is undeniably one of the biggest astronomical discoveries of the century.

Is there a 5th force of nature?
As far as we know, there are four fundamental forces that hold our Universe together - gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces.

Yet another fascinating solar system object that defys explanation for the time being.
Scientists have discovered a mysterious object located on the outskirts of the Solar System, and while we don't know much about it yet, what we do know doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
