To my mind one of the largest and most accessible repositories of knowledge we have. I donated because of the many things I have learnt, and will yet learn, aided by the site.

It begins +Frane Karaman+Andy Yoo!
Last night I was discussing The Simulation Argument, with two neuroscientists, they were sceptical but they did mention this ...
OpenWorm is an attempt to build a complete cellular-level simulation of the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans. Of the 959 cells in the hermaphrodite, 302 are neurons and 95 are muscle cells. The simulation will model electrical activity in all the muscles and neurons. An integrated soft-body ...

I was too, the girl's main uncertainty seemed to be that the human brain was too random .... I said, if you can do a worm, then a human brain is in the same problem space, even if it's much much more complex right ..... there was still skepticism, but couldn't nail down why =/

Surely this must just be an excerpt of the full-length ten hour version.
I'm waiting for that to come out before I buy the album. Thanks though!

Introduction
Hi I'm Nick. Born and live in Melbourne Australia. Love it here but like many of my fellow isolated islanders also love travel. I lived in Germany for a while, also Niu Zillund, Japan's pretty high on the to-visit list. I'd like to get a motorcycle and tour around it.

For a crust I do IT, a "generalist" I guess. If I was to put a few keywords of stuff I'm strong on and enjoy: architecture & design, open source, web, networks. Currently I'm leading an engineering team building an online Movie, TV & Digital Rights system. It's interesting being such a new area, one that is changing rapidly and only getting more and more important as time goes on. I've learnt a lot, and basically put together most of the system, now oversee a small team on continuing new development. Our newly-launched very-basic site is here: https://cumulusmn.com

Some things I enjoy & am interested in:
Gaming
I'm still playing heaps of Battlefield 3, and still have terrible k:d. I like to say I'm great on the strategy but terrible on the aiming.
I love adventure games, like Space Quest. I'm actually playing Monkey Island on the PS3 for the first time(!) atm.
Also love the Fallout series, and new beautiful games like Journey.
Most recently Double Fine's "The Cave", loved it.

Motorcycles
I ride a Daytona 675 (if that means anything to you reader :) If not - "It's red and showy and sexy", which I normally wouldn't expect of myself, but there you go. Perhaps I'll also end up marrying a starlet. With a husky 3-cylinder voice. I made some videos of my ass riding it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbByp7pKRxw

Reading
I've a modest bookshelf containing the small amount of great books I have so far managed to find. At time of writing, enjoying Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot". He's one of my heroes. (along with Alain De Botton, Richard Feynman, Mark Twain ...  others)

Music
Generally electronic, afro, soul, dub, house (real house, not 'progressive'). I love and support community radio; it's true that PBS in Melbourne is one of the best radio stations on the planet. It's impressive the breadth of music they play (check them out, you can listen live here: http://pbsfm.org.au/)

I think that's enough to give you a picture.
Hello and pleased to meet you!

They did an excellent job with my new fairings, great attention to detail too, Little things that weren't strictly necessary like properly soldering my tail light connector (which wasn't previously). Wouldn't hesitate to go to these guys again.

Charlie gives friendly, honest, service for a reasonable price. He's also obviously very experienced with Triumphs in particular. Got the 30k on my Daytona done there and it felt great afterwards (I was having the common problem with the stiff suspension). Going back there for a checkup soon.

Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. Hire gear bit average, but cheap. Spa was working when we were there. Rooms clean and well turned out. Was good value, we were happy, thanks guys.

The couple that own Meccanica are really friendly and personable, always up for a chat (particularly if it involves bikes). The bike decor and big screen are very cool. They also make a pretty good coffee, great place to stop in when riding Reefton. I'm thinking of going up there right now to watch Moto GP =)
