Today is #internationalyouthday . This year the focus is on Youth and Mental Health.

Lib Dems believe that mental health should be taken as seriously as physical health. That's why we have increased funding to help people with mental health problems. #mentalhealth

We have no MPs Parliament is dissolved.
We still have a government, all Ministers are still in their jobs.
I am not sure what more you think 8.6% of MPs could achieve...

Today's Queen's Speech represents our approach in Government, confirming the introduction of a plastic bag charge, financial support for families towards childcare and a better pensions system.
Today’s Queen’s Speech represents the Liberal Democrats’ approach to government, focussing on putting Britain securely on the road to economic recovery, doing so in a way that is fair to all.

Our thoughts go out to the people of South Africa who will be left heartbroken by this sad news.

Every so often history produces an individual whose message is universal, and Nelson Mandela will be mourned and missed on every continent around the globe. The hope he offered was enough to unite races; it bridged cultures and transcended generations; and it could heal the deepest divides.

That hope must now live on. Nelson Mandela's legacy will continue to burn brightly, there is little doubt about that. But our greatest tribute to him will be our commitment to equality, humanity and peace - the values for which he very literally put his life on the line."

Good news for pub landlords:
Thousands of pub landlords will be protected against unfair treatment and hardship under new plans unveiled today. The announcement follows a long-running campaign by Lib Dem MP Greg Mulholland, who was one of the first MPs to highlight the unfair treatment of landlords tied to pub firms. Two weeks ago he presented a petition of more than 45,000 signatures to introduce a pubs adjudicator.
