The days of Retweeting may be numbered. Twitter has been testing more mainstream verbiage by replacing “Retweet” with “Share.”  Twitter has been quite active in tweaking the user interface as of late. Last week, “views” were spotted and yesterday, we saw the introduction of tagging without adding a Twitter handle in the Tweet. Eli Langer of CNBC […]

A lot of businesses get this wrong by focusing too tightly on the sales parts of the marketing funnel. With PPC, Money Buys Placement Before I get into SEO, let’s examine PPC as a contrasting approach. In paid search, […]

Many people are aware of Google Places and may have their businesses listed but not so many are aware of the changes recently to Google + Local. In April Google announced a range of changes and developments and one that didn’t get as much focus was the move away from Google Places to Google + [...]  Read the rest of this entry »

Here we go again, another one bites the dust...
The major travel website, Expedia, seems to have lost 25% of their search visibility in Google according to Search Metrics. It appears that drop was due to an unnatural link penalty, where Nenad called out Expedia over a month ago for possible paid links on article sites. Expedia.com’s Google Traffic Decline: Patrick Altoft noticed a […]

Just a couple weeks after taking reservations for profile URLs, Vine has rolled out profile pages for all of its users. AVOID!!! Terrible service and an extremely rude manager with no comprehension of hospitality or treating loyal customers with respect. Won't be returning.

I visited the flying fox recently for the first time and the service was terrible. We waited at the empty bar for nearly 15 mins to be served whilst staff walked past us and didn't even acknowledge our presence. We ordered 2 drinks and a bowl of chips to share, sat outside. After 30 mins the chips hadn't turned up, flagged it with a member of staff and they had forgotten. Seriously, these guys must do better, I won't be risking the restaurant service here or even making a second visit.
