Lance Armstrong and Manti Te'O both profited because of stories created that involved cancer. As someone who's been sick, and who's tried to seek inspiration and solace in sports, here's why I find the myths so deeply offensive.

Great article Nicholas -- you're right, it is deeply offensive. Especially to someone like you who has endured and used fitness as a way to reaffirm your health.
