Many vendors returned from last year’s Chile Festival 2014, and you can see several photos of them across my three posts:CHILE FESTIVAL 2014 - HOT HOT HOT - PT.1SWEET HEAT - CHOCOLATE + CHILES - PT. 2CHILE FESTIVAL GOODIES - PT.3This year, I focused on taking photos of what was newest and most exciting for me. There were new flavors for many of the vendors, and some exciting updates in packaging, as well.

Glorious Spicy Chile + Chocolate combinations await you tomorrow at @bklynbotanic. Here's a peek from last year.
The Aztecs knew a thing or two about a thing or two. Namely - they had cacao. They had chiles. They made a glorious drink with the two. Spicy, chocolaty glory. Some traditions need to last forever. We’re here to see to that.At the Brooklyn Botanic Chile Festival, nearly half of the vendors are bringing us just that - an ethereal fusion of chocolate and spice, sweet and heat, earth and fire. MmmmmmChile Festival 2015 it right around the corner - i...

NORTH - Nordic Food Festival put on by  Honest Cooking, begins TODAY! I put together some photos from last year to give you a peek into the incredible event, so you can get as pumped up as I am and start filling your belly with delectable Nordic goodies.
Last year, around this same time, I photographed the North Food Festival 2014 for Honest Cooking, and it was downright amazing. I explored an entire world of Nordic cuisine I had never before experienced, and I felt as if I were traveling the world as each event featured food and imagery from different Nordic countries.I’m very excited for this year’s festival, North 2015 and to share that excitement with you I’ve put together some photos from la...

Would you like to know more about my photography process, from the moment a client contacts me with an idea to the delivery of my dazzling sparkly finished images? Now you can, just clicky!
It all starts with desire. You have something you’ve made, something you’re doing or have done, that you are proud of and want to show off. You want the world to know you do amazing work. But you can’t just tell them, you needs to SHOW them. And you don’t just want them to see it. You need them to FEEL it. You don’t need simple pictures - you need a professional photographer who can craft an emotional, compelling story about your work into each i...

Got some fun new stuff in the works!
Lately I’ve been putting together these quick little real estate tours for the rentals I shoot in Brooklyn. It’s been fun to make them quickly and put whatever music I like on them. I do it incredibly minimal, because if I make it too complicated in the beginning, I know it will never get done. So, even though I spent the last month learning how to use adobe premiere pro in and out, I actually make all of these on iMovie because it’s incredibly q...

We live pretty isolating lives, you and I - lives not very conducive to creative meaningful friendships. But why? Where and how we live is to blame. We‘ve got three must-have conditions for significant friendships to bud - “proximity; repeated, unplanned interactions; and a setting that encourages people to let their guard down and confide in each other“, sociology professor Rebecca G. Adams told the NY Times. So how well are we doing with that? ...

It’s not all hot sauce and chocolate at the festival. Here’s a look at some of the other folks and delicious eats available at last year’s festival.

Snapped some great shots at the North 2015 Kickoff Party. Get yer peepers on 'em.
North 2015 got started last night with a kickoff cocktail party. I came by to nibble some bites, chat with norsemen, and take photos. Because that’s what I do.

BBG's Chile Festival is going to be heating it up this Saturday, the 26th. Here's a peek at last year's festival to get you pumped up.
Capsicum, the family of piquant vegetables responsible for adding a scorching bite to foods, has raving fans throughout the world. Capsicums originated from Central America where the Nahuatl (Aztec) people, from what is now Puebla and Oaxaca, Mexico, named the plants “Xilli”, which evolved to “Chili”, and in time to our current usage, “Chile”. They are also often referred to as “peppers”, due to their spicy bite being reminiscent of black pepper,...

Want a drop-dead gorgeous apartment? Got you covered.
The owner of a small 6 family rental property at 178 Freeman Street put care and craftsmanship into his top floor residence that just isn‘t financially viable for a typical rental unit. It is truly one of a kind. You feel immediately that it’s so much more than the typical apartment. Nothing builder-basic here - this spot was crafted with love. It feels so homey that it’s practically suburban, while really it’s in central Greenpoint, right around ...

Incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, prompt and friendly. My repair was a massive undertaking - an full engine swap that necessitated replacing several components and an incredible amount of labor. They keep me informed of every issue encountered along the way, always checked with me before making any changes or doing any work that would incur additional costs, and tested the car several times to make absolutely certain it was in top shape before handing back the keys -- and it was worth it. The car is running better than it ever has, and I've got their crew to thank. Wouldn't dream of taking my BMW to anyone else.
