In fact, Hangouts is breaking out SMS and it's own messaging system.
The idea that we'd have a single app for all of our messaging was a nice idea for a while, but there's no way it will work with current technologies.

+Google Chrome will now warn users when websites have fake download buttons or other fake elements. Take that horrible, shady websites.
Let's not beat around the bush. Ads -- although a necessary evil to keep sites like this up and running -- can be plenty annoying in their own right. But it's only when you have purposefully deceitful ads that try and trick users into clicking them (whether it's outside content made to look like it came from the site), that you really cross the line. This is so true. I uninstalled mine a couple weeks ago and have seen a noticeable increase in performance and a major increase in battery life!
