If we want to fight inequality in America, then we need more than the financial measures talked about in Occupy Wall Street. My new column argues that the single most important step to greater fairness and equity would be early childhood education, and that it might pay for itself in reduced crime and public costs. Read the column, and spread the word. And let me know if you agree or disagree, and why. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/20/opinion/occupy-the-classroom.html

Butch provided an amazing and educational tour, and managed to show us plenty of gators, even on an unseasonably chilly morning :) His exposition on the ecology of the was thorough and engaging and peppered with anecdotes and Acadian charm. Absolutely recommend!!
Quality Excellent

James 1:27 "Religion that God or father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Church, rise up! These are widows and orphans in distress; do what the governments and powers that be can't or won't do.

We reserved a non-smoking with two double beds to accommodate two adults and two children. We arrived to a smoking room with one bed and were told that we would be charged for one twin rollaway bed if we decided we needed it. The room was rank with stale smoke. We found two dead crickets and one live one in the bathroom. The coffee maker was broken. The free breakfast was acceptable, but the person restocking the breakfast items was the same person working the front desk, which caused holdups in both areas. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel.
