A new approach to understanding violent extremism. My feature for University World News on how researchers from 13 countries are working together to understanding why some young people are attracted to violent extremist groups such as those supporting radical Islam or far right nationalisation.

The DARE project involves youth studies experts from 13 countries and will be looking at what society can do to effectively counter violent extremism.
