Not sure where to post this but this little series is pure magic.  X-Minus One.  A load of old Sci-Fi short stories turned into 25(ish) minute radio plays.  Most of them, and that is not to say some are rubbish because they are not, are absolute gems.  Its available on the LibraVox app if you have it.
X MINUS ONE X Minus One aired on NBC from 24 April 55 until 9 January 58 for a total of 124 episodes with one pilot or audition story. There was a revival...

Change the theme colour of android chrome from your web page.

Hey guys! I use Google chrome for web browsing. On some websites chrome change the color theme, so the color of chrome (background color of the address bar) matches to the color theme of the website.
How can I use this feature? I've searched on Google, but haven't found anything :(

Any ideas?

I see a video that unfortunately does not see past the border of the united states of america and still quantifies weights in pounds instead of metric units.  Don't worry, some of us can still see clearly through muddy water. x

I was referring to the units of measure used in the video, pointing out that it was clearly aimed at American viewers as pretty much the rest of the world uses the metric system.

SF Movies  -

Just watched Time Lapse, really enjoyed it.  It's a low budget movie, but it's clever enough to take place in basically 2 rooms (there are a couple of other supplementary rooms to please the claustrophobics).  Acting is a bit basic, but that's fine.  It suits the story.  Only about 7 or eight characters but that's probably too many to be honest, but a good wee film nonetheless.  Anyone who likes time related sci-fi should like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BzYpF24LpY

I hope that all the +1s have enjoyed the film.  There is a small group of about 28 people that will either consider this film a classic bit of B+ movie-making.  And if you are not in this group and you now want to kill me for wasting an hour an a half of your life, I'd just like to say, "reasons before murders", "give me a good laugh before I murder you", muhhahahahah, at least that's what the poster said yesterday...

Anyone else playing on Linux?  I on Ubuntu 14.10 and looking for anyone that can share performance tips.  I'm currently on older hardware and things are a little slow (will be upgrading soon).  Game is playable but doesn't look as good as it could. Cheers!!

Help Needed  -

So I'm pretty new to Linux but have been using Ubuntu exclusively for a couple of years.  I am now looking to set up some dual booting so that I can try out some other flavours of Linux.  I have a 500gb drive that I am using at the moment and I am about set to reformat it and install a fresh version of Ubuntu 15.04.

I just read today (bit of a doh! moment) that you can have /home on a separate partition and that's fine but what I am wondering is can that partition be the /home for other installations on the same system.  i.e. I dive in the deep end and dual boot with Arch but can access the same /home from both Ubuntu and Arch?  (I'm using Arch as an example but I'm possibly not that brave yet.)

Are there any good (and by good I mean simple) guides or advice I should be following as to the best way to partition my drive for such an endeavour, e.g. do I need multiple swap partitions? Are there any other partitions I should be considering?

I think I'm pretty much going to be the "average user" bit of surfin, bit of working, lil bit of gaming (lol - lil bit).  I don't really spend much time with more than 3 applications open at one time.  I am thinking about investigating the workspace thing where I might leave open the things I use most of the time on different workspaces but that's perhaps me still being unsure because I was such a long time windows user and it still seems like nonsense to even consider such a situation.  I really like the idea that I should not need a swap file very often.  I remember dreaming of a day where that would be the case on windows but I guess things are just a bit more organised on Linux.

I would like to say a big "thank you" to everyone who has helped me with my questions so far as its filling me with confidence that I will be able to have a great system that I can play with and not compromise the stuff I need to have for work.  People always talk about how cool the Linux community is and this thread has shown me its not about smart shades and awesome beards (it could be that too) but its really about people who are willing to share the smallest insights with someone whom other communities would deem not worthy of knowing anything because they have not completed some right of passage.  Many, many thanks everyone!!!  All I have to do now is get time to put my hardware into one box and set about some serious installs :)

Once I get this whole thing sorted, I have a notion that compiling my own kernel would be cool but I also think that I'd like to be awesome enough to go hunting the Jabberwoky with a stick and a pea shooter :)

Many thanks again Folks!!!
