The Art of Farming: Art on a Larger Palette
Join us for an elegant and unique viewing of our open studio. This fall we are celebrating all things local and we're kicking off the harvest season with a showcase of what we've been creating this year -- from food to fiber. Spend an evening walking through our curated gallery and workspace while enjoying refreshments and community at the farm. This event is in partnership with the MCA Crafts Weekend, and event that celebrates Maine's rich, creative arts community!

Nezinscot Farm Dairy is seeking in two part time and/or full time farm/dairy assistants with the skills and energy to assist in the management of the farm and herd, manage and assist in milking, and help grow the beef business.
The assistant is responsible for assisting in all farm operational activities including:
• Milking twice a day
• Maintaining health of young animals and small animals on farm
• Assisting in feeding
• Running equipment and potential trucking opportunities
• Other general farm tasks as needed
We are looking for a responsible, dedicated employee with previous farm experience preferred. Valid drivers license and vehicle is required. A resume is not required but references must be provided. Starting wage is based on experience and open to negotiation.
All Employees also have access to farm store/café resources and food accounts.

Laura Hamilton is a yoga teacher, business consultant & artist.  She has spent the past ten years working with individuals and groups to understand and bring mastery to living through the lens of yoga, the Myers-Briggs and organizational development.  She teaches community yoga classes, sees people privately for astrology & spiritual consultations and is an organizational consultant who works with groups and businesses to achieve harmony and navigate conflict and growth.

To support the understanding that all process is art. Whether taking yarn to the loom, or preparing rabbit for sausage making, the product of our hands is what nourishes our lives. Deeply routed purpose is the result of creative process.

All while working together in an encouraging environment and recognizing the parallel between a purposeful life and hands-on experience. 

In a skill sharing environment members will create in community and gain experience from peers, advancing knowledge and technique. 

Fostering the social interaction that leads to discovery Nezinscot Farm Artisans Guild has been formed to provide an opportunity for Maine artisans to gather and devote concentrated time to the pursuit of their artistic goals.
