It's already memorial day weekend and the summer will follow right after! As a business owner it's hard to step away and vacation - but it's important for you, your family and even your business. I shared this post on Showcasing Women on how to leave work behind and take that break. Enjoy and have a great weekend everyone!
Ah, summer. It inspires barbecues and long, lazy days on the beach. Unless you’re an entrepreneur, that is. Then you’re more likely to visualize yourself with your laptop and phone on that beach, being anything but lazy. Why do we insist on working when we’re supposed to be taking downtime? More than half of Americans …

Thinking of getting a loan to fund a new business, or grow your current business? There are tons of options - and one of the decisions you'll need to make is whether a short-term or long-term loan is best for you. Great post on my blog by Ty Kiisel sharing what you need to know about a long-term business loan and how it can be a wise choice for your business growth!

Did you know that underpricing your products can turn away customers just as much as overpricing? Just because you're 'cheapest option' doesn't mean clients will be flocking to your website to place that order! Underpricing means you have no room to negotiate and you won't have time for quality customers. Some food for thought on my latest post for +GoDaddy . Have a great Monday & week everyone!
Pricing strategy: overpricing your services might make you lose a sale, but underpricing can be just as (if not more) devastating to your business.

Many #entrepreneurs  don't just start one business - but they start and run many! When it comes to legally structuring these multiple businesses, it can get confusing as to how to set them up. Should you do each separately? What if some businesses relate to another? What do you do then? These are questions I commonly get asked so decided to share some info on my blog. For all of you serial entrepreneurs out there - I hope this helps!

For the small business owner, freelancer and solopreneur there are usually many questions about how to formally and legally register your business. Should you just operate as a sole proprietor? You can - but that puts your personal assets at risk! My latest post on the +FreshBooks blog may help you decide what business structure is right for your business. The LLC? S Corp? C Corp? Read on and find out. Hope this helps!

I often get asked: "When is the best time to incorporate my business?" My answer will depend on whether that person already launched their business of if it's still in the idea phase. Incorporating a business is an important step to the success of a venture, so I always recommend registering before you start. But if you are already bringing in income, my next answer would be at the end of the year. More info in my latest post for the +QuickBooks  #blog Have any Qs? Feel free to ask below!
Knowing when to incorporate your business can save you a lot of trouble come tax time.

Slow paying clients can definitely hold things up at a small business!! Most clients don't mean to pay late, but it's what works for their schedule or they even simply forgot! A simple reminder is no issue; but once you feel like you're being a pester you may want to take some steps to avoid the situation overall. I shared some tips in my latest post on Forbes. I hope this helps! Have a great weekend!
No matter what type of business you operate, you’re bound to experience slow paying customers. Here are several tips on how to deal with late payments and motivate clients to pay you promptly in the future.

Mom, Wife, Small Business Owner and CEO of CorpNet.com!
Introduction
I'm a mom of four beautiful children and am married to my best friend, my business partner and my husband of 16 years. My husband and I started our first business back in 1997 from our apartment and grew that venture to a lager company that was acquired by Intuit in 2005. We could have retired then - but who wants to do that? In 2009, we started CorpNet.com, where we help entrepreneurs incorporate a business, Form an LLC, file a DBA and many other legal startup tasks.
