Anyone have any thoughts on the new G+ layout? I have never been one of the "change is bad mkay" brigade but good God the new UI, on my laptop screen at least, is rubbish. Especially for the Community view. Thoughts? Anyone love it?

This came across my desk earlier: "We own the emails of approximately 30,000 local real estate agents that we would like to mass email.  We are in need of a system or software that will allow this amount of emails to be sent and avoid being detected by spam.  Since there are no opt-in permissions for these emails we are looking for a work around in this instant."

Let me translate this into truth for you: We're the definition of lazy and we don't want to do effective marketing. We want to spam the crap out of a heap of real estate agents and we need a spammers help to circumvent the measures the web and people at large have put in place to stop such behaviour because we think it will be a good marketing ploy.

Here's a hint - that's a shitty way to do your marketing. Even if you can get all those emails out your conversion rate will suck. The hilarious thing to me is that a lot of people still think that this issue of SPAM is a technology issue and not a human response issue.

Serious Question: have you ever signed up for something you received a SPAM mail for?

There's wisdom in this. Fear can be useful but never when it's in the driving seat

Event: http://bit.ly/1EZNtSs Digital Marketing: The Planning and Strategy of Winning More Business. Find out how to increase leads but decrease waste at this event for business owners and marketing professionals #dublinevents   #digitalmarketingstrategy   #digitalmarketingplan   #marketingevents   #leadgenerationdublin
Go here to book your ticket: http://bit.ly/1EZNtSs

So, you've got a website and a business page on every social network you can wave a virtual stick at. You're slogging away updating every chance you get. Maybe you write a blog post regularly. Maybe you've conducted an Adwords campaign. However, no matter what you try to do your efforts don't seem to produce the results you'd like.

Do you have a plan that informs your strategy. Has that strategy been chunked down into actions? As the expression goes, failing to plan is planning to fail, and yet a surprising number of SME organisations do not plan their digital marketing efforts.

Lets change that on the 28th May 2015.

At our event, it is our great honor to have well known author, speaker and marketing consultant Paul Smith (www.prsmith.org), who is going to show you how, using his very own SOSTAC methodology, you can create a Digital Marketing Plan that will boost your business in just 4 minutes! Paul lectures and teaches SOSTAC to 3rd level marketing students all over the world.

Neil Sisson, Founder of Lime Canvas (a WordPress & Inbound Marketing Agency), blogger, Inbound Marketer and Infusionsoft expert will show you how an integrated digital marketing strategy can help you flood your business with new leads and sales, whilst avoiding waste of man power, money and minutes.

Join us on Thursday evening, the 28th May for this information packed event run by Digital Marketing Ireland.

"The real matter of course is that Google don’t owe any of us anything in terms of rankings. As long as we give them our search queries and click on their ads, the ball is always going to be in their court.

I don’t see why I owe it to them to stop performing a tactic that works, just because they don’t like it."

Very well said +Glen A
