It's also interesting that Google found no correlation between GPAs and workplace performance. I think employers that focus too much on academic performance could be missing out on some very capable candidates. As Bock says, once you're a few years in: "You’re also fundamentally a different person. You learn and grow, you think about things differently."

Looking at the results for 'payday loans' you have to assume this is not the last we have seen of Penguin 2 so I would expect further iterations sooner rather than later. I didn't expect to see a massive change within top ten's on the SERPs where genuine Brands were strong but thought, given the hype, to have seen greater flux lower down the SERPs but have seen little evidence of that. 

Interesting move on TLA which was an obvious one but assume it had to tie into an algorithmic scaleable solution as opposed to a one off hit.

I think the point that so far, post Penguin 2 it made that brands stronger and to some extent encouraged quick burns in sectors such as Payday Loans where you can get away with it. I get the feeling this was a bit of a FUD exercise and probably worked well in that respect.
