This is the second post - would be stoked if you'd take a look!

This is the first new piece of writing I've published in a year. And, if I'm honest, I'm terrified of letting it out of the box.

+Neil Hopkins I believe the purpose of the video is to continue the regressive attitudes of the past and blame shelter killing on the minority of the public who are irresponsible. Progressive shelters are copying what other progressive shelters are doing.  Money spent should have measurable results to make it worthwhile, so how are the results going to be measured and explained to donors to the Toronto Humane Society?

Shelters that care spend time and resources on lifesaving programs with measurable results.

When the Nevada Humane Society put an animal help desk in place to offer pre surrender counselling before people brought their pets to the shelter, owner surrenders were reduced by 60 percent!  That seems like a worthwhile way to spend resources.

If a company wanted to donate time to produce a video about available and proposed lifesaving programs and services, to help let pet owners know, and to promote the great pets that have been adopted, that would be worthwhile.

This video is a waste.

€5 euro entrance fee might seem a bit steep, but you are contributing to architectural heritage and conservation. It's a shame that the exterior lines were spoilt by the ticket man on a cheap plastic chair.. But, otherwise, an architectural dream come true!
