Secrets of the newsroom: Pitching successfully to the media

We are pleased to announce a brand new course designed specifically for PRs, which will be taught by Graham Dudman, a former managing editor of The Sun.

It’s aimed at anyone working in PR or communications who wants to successfully and consistently achieve media coverage for their clients, and those who want a better understanding of how newsrooms work.

When: 11 May 2016 at the NCTJ’s offices in Newport, Essex, which is easily accessible from London in less than an hour by train or car.

The NCTJ level 3 Diploma in Journalism is being reviewed and a draft proposal to restructure the qualification was presented at the Journalism Skills Conference in Birmingham on 26/27 November. The proposal and relevant research documents are available on our website. The consultation is open until 15 January 2016.
