3 Great Herbs for Menstrual Cramps:
• Cramp Bark
• Wild Yam
• Ginger Root

Take as either a tea or in tincture form. You can also add your tinctures to a cup of hot, freshly made ginger root tea for additional soothing benefit.

You can use as single herbs or in combination. If using a tincture combination, take 4 droppersful (4 mL) every 20 minutes for the first hour to quickly help alleviate cramping. Take 2-3 mL every few hours thereafter, to keep cramps at bay. http://ow.ly/u2p6M

Oil Pulling - DIY Health Remedy

Oil pulling is a simple technique originating from India that can be used for improving oral health. One study showed that oil pulling using sesame oil helped to reduce the amount of Streptococcus mutans, a bacteria that contributes to cavities, in teeth plaque and mouth saliva.

The actual act of oil pulling involves swishing the oil around around in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes, while slowly drawing the oil through the gaps between the teeth using a sucking action and the help of the tongue. Sesame oil was traditionally used for oil pulling; however, other oils can also be used, such as coconut oil (warmed to its liquid state) or sunflower oil.

For details on how to do oil pulling, see:
http://foodmatters.tv/articles-1/oil-pulling-the-habit-that-can-transform-your-health
An ancient Ayurvedic ritual, oil pulling was introduced to the modern world in 1992 by Dr. F. Karach, MD. who claimed that oil pulling could cure a variety of illnesses ranging from heart disease and digestive troubles to hormonal disorders. Discover here how this daily habit can transform your health in so many ways.

Cramps? Ladies, you don't need to suffer from menstrual cramps every month. These are often improved with the addition of the omega-6 fatty acid, GLA, to your supplement regime, along with a high-potency omega-3 supplement. Borage Oil is a great source of GLA, as is Evening Primrose (though Borage is higher). Supplementing with magnesium can also be helpful for cramping.
Herbs such as Cramp Bark, Wild Yam, and Ginger are excellent for cramping; these can be taken either as a tea or in tincture form, and as single herbs or in combination.

Calm the Mind, Lift the Spirit with Holy Basil http://bit.ly/Holy-Basil

Also known as Tulsi, or 'the incomparable one', Holy Basil has been used in India for thousands of years to treat inflammation, digestive complaints, asthma, arthritis, skin problems and a wide array of other conditions. It is one of the most highly regarded plants in Ayurvedic medicine.

In the west, Holy Basil is better known as an adaptogen - it strengthens our ability to adapt to, or resist stress, be that physical, mental, or emotional stress. Holy Basil calms the mind and promotes a sense of wellbeing ('lifts the spirit') by strengthening the nervous system and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. The HPA axis is an important communication system that regulates the stress response, which involves many different hormones and neurotransmitters.

Holy Basil is very gentle and can be used longterm, and is available online from Natural Wellbeing.
