Versions don't matter, because Google now controls the platform behind the platform.

"Why would I spend days uploading files to HDFS, writing map reduce jobs for 1 GB of data? When I can spend 5 minutes writing an SQL query and wait 30 seconds for the query to execute."
http://www.chrisstucchio.com/blog/2013/hadoop_hatred.html

P.S. Obviously, there are high-TB- or PB-sized datasets where Hadoop, HPCC or similar are called for, but there are plenty of examples to the contrary...
“So, how much experience do you have with Big Data and Hadoop?” they asked me. I told them that I use Hadoop all the time, but rarely for jobs larger than a few TB. I'm basically a big data neophite - I know the concepts, I've written code, but never at scale. The next question they asked me.

See them being done wrong all the time in the gym.
These barbell exercises are great for developing total-body power and boosting sports performance, but there may be far simpler—and safer—ways to get similar results

Penske had my car on 3 different occasions, totaling about 10 days and never did fix the problem. They gave me the car back in the same, if not worse, condition as it was when i brought it in, said “they could not fix it”, and charged me $470. I pleaded with them and finally got them to send me a refund check. So i took it to Hare service, they identified the issue in 1 day, fixed it rather quickly, and also got me a 50% refund from GM!!!!

They were terrible. Gave me 4 different finish dates which they missed. Was supposed to be a 2 day repair took 7. I had to contact them each time. They were not prompt returning calls. The paint did not match color well. I will never use them again and was shocked that they were certified. Church Brothers is way better.

Not so good. My Hamburger was really good but the waitress brought sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. My wife's salad was not supposed to have cheese on it, but it did. And her sister had to ask for the fries that came with her steak. My wifes steak sandwich was really good, but her sister's steak was atrocious. She ordered medium, but it was a pale white.....im not talking the inside, the whole thing! It was disgusting. We told the waitress and she immediately knew what we were talking about and quickly took it back and offered to get here something else. Great, now we have to wait for her cheeseburger to come out. So everyone is finished and then her cheeseburger comes out with no ketchup on it, which she explicitly asked for. The whole thing was a train wreck. The waitress gave us $20 worth of certificates for our next visit, but we wont be going back. Parking there stinks too.
