Introduction
I am a software engineer at Google where I work on UI infrastructure and eat snacks.

I currently am a member of the Google Web Server team, working specifically on common UI infrastructure at Google. I've done significant work with Closure Library, the library behind Google+, Gmail, Docs, Books, and many other Google products. I helped open source it in 2009. Previously, I was involved with the Google Books project, including Google eBooks, magazines, patents, news archive, and other projects.

I live in New York. I previously lived in San Francisco. I grew up in rural Wisconsin. I moved to the Bay Area in 2005 after graduating with honors from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I spent five years there bouncing around disciplines. I started in the School of Music but eventually finished majors in computer science, political science, and economics.

My interests outside work include music (singing in particular), museum-going, hiking, biking, traveling, American politics, religion in modernity, Midwestern and Northern Californian culture, vegetarianism, reading, the San Francisco Giants, the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Green Bay Packers (of which I'm an owner). Some semesters, I sing with the Stanford Symphonic Chorus. Recently, tutored math at San Quentin Prison with the Prison University Project. I also occasionally take computer science classes at Stanford.

Seriously, she's so cute. She could definitely be a doggie model.

This is just bizarre. Seems self-involved, smug, aloof, not at all personable.

The primary feeling I'm getting is schadenfreude as this man's campaign (and flatlined career) implodes.

Fair, and no argument that the questioning was poor, but part of pursuing public office is the ability to handle a situation like this gracefully rather than in a way that'll end up being a news story in and of itself.
