Love these books. Lovingly re-titled the first one, "Where my hat at BEYOTCH?"

For his latest trick, Jon Klassen pulls an impressive number out of his "Hat" books: one million copies in print worldwide.

My first-born contributes to this. "N" is the second-last letter in the name of my youngest. At 50%, we're pulling this average up.

It's a relatively new trend in naming, but it's grown to the extent that the letter currently concludes a whopping 36 percent of boys' names. http://theatln.tc/PZ6yxX

Barefoot / Minimalist  -

New shoes (New Balance MR00) gave me a nasty achilles blister and I couldn't get band aids to stick. So halfway through a 6k I took off my shoes and carried them. Shocked to discover that I can easily run barefoot at my normal pace. Surprised to find my breathing better regulated. Need more KMs to see if the breathing is barefoot-related.

Booyah! Finished in the top 25% of men and shaved off 30s from my time last year. Conditions were cold and windy; last year was sunny and cool.
