Well arighty then

#Anonymous is awesome. They shutdown the internet routers and phone networks in #Ferguson . They're also gonna release info about the officer who abused his power and shot the innocent kid, and they're pushing to make a Ferguson law. As someone who's practiced ethical hacking (not the illegal form of hacking), I find it amazing what they're able to do without getting caught.

I don't always link to TED talks but when I do, it pays to watch them

http://www.ted.com/talks/hugh_herr_the_new_bionics_that_let_us_run_climb_and_dance

Hugh Herr is building the next generation of bionic limbs, robotic prosthetics inspired by nature's own designs. Herr lost both legs in a climbing accident 30 years ago; now, as the head of the MIT Media Lab’s Biomechatronics group, he shows his incredible technology in a talk that's both technical and deeply personal.

I am not going to spoil it but chances are high that you'll be fighting tears, in a good way, before you've even made it halfway through this video. If you need to renew your faith in the goodness of mankind or its ability to overcome problems, Hugh Herr has got you covered.

I know this is against the the rules of this community but if this happens to slide through it would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to swoop up around 5 invites if anyone seems to have them laying around.

Cheers

Looking to set up a raid backup for the GF. She's a photographer so she is quickly expanding the amount of storage she needs. She also needs room for growth in the future. I would like to find a way to set up a simple 8tb Raid that I expand when needed.

Thinking I'm going to setup either  Raid 4, Raid 5, or Raid 6 system with 4x2tb bare hard drives in bays. Looking for at least a single backup.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Noob questions:
1. Does this need a dedicated computer to run?
2. Is there a more efficient way of doing this?
3. How much maintenance?
4. Can a girl use this?
