Hey all - wanted to pass along this information in case you know of any high school students interested in raising money for flood victims across the state. Please share with anyone who might be interested.

As you know, I run the VING project, a nonprofit out of Chicago that allows teens 14-18 across the country to decide where gifts of $1,000 go to. Our hearts are with the people in your state who have lost so much this weekend…

Here’s a thought - as teachers return from the weekend to meet their students and discuss what happened in neighboring parishes and brainstorm about possible ways to help and rebuild, I wanted to spread the word about VING with the hope we can get kids giVING to those in serious need this week…

The VING project is looking to engage and empower teens who want help the people impacted by the flooding in Louisiana. We are trying to get the word out in Louisiana because we know the need is present and great. Our organization’s goal is to provide up to $25,000 for people in need this week - all we need is for teens to apply to be the givers of $1,000 gifts.

How it works: Teens 14-18 answer the VING question: If you had $1,000 to give to a person in need, who would you VING it to? Teens make a 1-2 minute video on to nominate a person in their life who is in need of a $1,000 boost. The videos are reviewed by the VING team, and selected teens get to experience the joy of giving by personally surprising their chosen recipient with a $1,000 gift.

Would you be willing to forward this and connect me with anyone whom you think would be interested in engaging their students in this opportunity? I would love to connect with anyone today or tomorrow.

Let me know what you think!
Many thanks,

Hey all - looking for recommendations for typing programs.

We've been using Typing Pal, but want to check out a few more options before committing fully for next year.
