Pink Floyd is back-ish. Couldn't be more excited to hear this new album. This is why.
Pink Floyd, simultaneously one of the most influential and popular bands ever and one of my favorite musical acts of all time, died three times by my count. First, principal songwriter Roger Waters...

As my Instagram feed gets more and more cluttered with kids and text of inspirational quotes, I'm glad to have VSCO Grid. Now Android users can see it on their phones.

VSCO also just announced a full-on publishing platform (text and photos), which is super interesting. Hope they figure out a way to make good content easily discoverable.

VSCO Cam for Android now has full support for the VSCO Grid.

It's very interesting to me how VSCO has expanded from a filter/presets and mobile apps to a publishing platform.
VSCO is releasing VSCO Cam 3.0 for Android today, bringing performance enhancements and adding access to the VSCO Grid, the company's curated feed of images from VSCO users. The update brings the...

The Last of Us is one of the best video games I've ever played, and it has stuck with me like any excellent movie, book, or album might do. I was lucky enough to give the new PS4 version a try just before it launched and found it to be a great refinement over the already-excellent original. I also got to talk to a few of Naughty Dog's developers about the process of making their first PS4 game. Check it.
Playing though Naughty Dog’s post-pandemic survival adventure The Last of Us is an intense, grueling, and highly rewarding experience — one that’s only heightened by the just-released remaster for...

If you use Dropbox, this one might be interesting to you. I got to spend the week getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the company drops everything and does whatever it wants for a week during its annual hacakthon. Things got pretty weird.
Out in the San Francisco bay, behind AT&T Park, a giant version of Dropbox’s "open box" logo bobs up and down in the waves. It’s actually a paddle boat, with the giant box built on top; inside, two...

I got to meet with +John Hanke and +Jim Stewartson from +Niantic Project to get all the details about the new +Endgame alternate-reality game. As someone who finds this kind of world-building stuff pretty fascinating, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Hopefully it'll take off in a cool and unexpected way.
At its simplest, Endgame: The Calling is a novel about 12 teenagers scattered around the globe, participating in a high-stakes competition with the threat of the apocalypse and near-certain death...

My man +Casey Newton  just published this massive, engrossing profile of one of the most interesting men in technology and design. If you care at all about why the things we use work the way they do, this is worth your attention.
But can his good taste conquer the world?

You missed a show. You missed every show. You traded newness for nostalgia. You accepted it. You turned up the car stereo, alone, remembering.
You had it. You knew them before they got big. You saw them live, before they got soft. You were scene. You had a song for every occasion. You kept up. You would never be that person who only...

Patrick at Leading Properties has been excellent to work with at our apartment. They've been up front, fair, responsive and accommodating when I've needed something so far. A relationship like this evolves over the course of a lease and I'm hoping I'll have similarly good things to say when eventually moving out — but my experience thus far makes me positive that will continue to be the case.
