Everyone should see BTTF.
If, for some reason, you haven't yet seen it, there's no time quite like the present. Join us as we remember why the original Back to the Future is a Movie to See Before You Die.

Hammer time.
I love a good fight scene - always have, always will. The great ones are excellently choreographed and imaginative, incorporating the surroundings as well as the performers themselves. There are always moments, however, when a scene goes to the next level - when an actor uses items that would not be

The folks over at CineFix have used their "8-Bit Cinema" to make loving tributes on YouTube to movies from J.J. Abrams' Star Trek to The Matrix and even The Silence of the Lambs. Their latest effort is an homage to 2014's current #1-ranked movie on Flickchart, Marvel

Inevitable Remakes is a new series of articles that pose the question: what if a classic or popular movie was first released in today's film world? This time we look at how a modern version of "Gremlins" might turn out.

The first film of my year-long movie challenge...

#267 out of 1343.
Welcome to the most ambitious movie watching regimen I've subjected myself to so far in this lifetime. I've been inspired by one of the users of Flickchart, Hannah, who in 2014 took on a personal challenge to watch 5 movies a week selected by friends. I'm taking the torch and keepi

"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid " featured charismatic leading men, a unique score by Burt Bacarach, laugh-out-loud humor, and an ending that left audiences slack-jawed. Would a version created today be held in as high regard?

There’s a misconception that old movies are too boring or too hard to understand, and therefore kids won’t enjoy them. This Top Ten list of classic films will delight children of all ages.

Some of my fondest memories from childhood are sitting with my Dad on a Friday night after his police shift of 3-11PM ended, watching old B&W films on TV. His enthusiasm became mine and I still yell, "Made it, Ma! Top of the world!" when watching White Heat - just like we did way back then!

"Singin' in the Rain" - #265/1345

Overflowing with color, song, and dance.
The second film of this grand experiment is one overflowing with color, song, and dance. It's Singin' In The Rain. I can really get into and respect a great musical. Technically, my favorite is The Nightmare Before Christmas, which next to the Batman score is probably the bes

Criterion Commentaries: "Rushmore"
www.flickchart.com

I knew two things on the night of March 12, 1999 when I went in to see Rushmore. It starred Bill Murray, and my friend was eager to see it.

Our son has gone through Kindergarten, and now is finishing his first year of Lower Elementary (first grade). It's been an excellent follow-up of his Montessori pre-schooling and extending the core principles of his Montessori education. Very motivated teachers, staff, and parents form a strong school community. We're very lucky to have a school like this in Winter Garden.

Excellent, real smoked BBQ. Pulled pork is just right, the baked beans are delicious, and my wife loves the sweet potato fries. Easy pickup right in the heart of downtown. We eat here often!
