Since 2009 – APD has busted almost 18,000 people for marijuana possession, according to numbers obtained through an open records request. Since 2009, 25.4 percent of those suspects avoided being arrested because of a 2007 state law.

All the latest on the UT evacuation on our news blog. Short story: Bomb threat phoned in. Buildings evacuated 15 minutes before bombs were supposedly going to go off. No bombs went off. Campus secured. Everyone allowed back in. All regular activities will resume at 5 p.m. except for classes.

Food trailer courts across Austin are being shut down as post-recession construction development picks up. The East Side Drive-In on East Sixth Street will close at the end of May, and days are numbered for courts at East Sixth and Waller Streets and South Congress.
