Review: The National Wedding Show 2015 - The UK s biggest (and still best) wedding show Undeniably, the best thing about The National Wedding Show is its size and the sheer number of things to do and see. Held at London Olympia, Birmingham and Manchester, there s ample room for the hundreds of suppliers catering for literally every single aspect of your wedding from music, to stationery, to unique entertainment ideas, to of course, the dress. Brides flock from all over the country to find the one : a designer gown at a knocked-down price. I actually won a pair of free tickets to the London show which was just as well really, as at an average of £15 a pop the costs can quickly start to mount, especially if like me you want to go to more than one show to meet a wide selection of suppliers. For those of you who ve never been to a wedding show before, picture the scene: there are flowers, bows, sparkly and pretty things everywhere you look. Vendors are dressed to the nines, occasionally dishing you the hard sell but mostly a

Lovely day out at Chelsea' Enchanted #wedding  Fair
Chelsea’s Enchanted Wedding Fair - Wedding fair enchantment in SW3 Today I popped along to Chelsea s Enchanted Wedding Fair at the Chelsea Old Town Hall, which was rather fun. I was given free last-minute tickets by the PR team at Elite London Events which proved to be VERY last-minute i.e. yesterday afternoon, so gathering an entourage proved a little impossible. I was asked if I believe in magic, miracles and happy endings and told that I deserved a fairy tale of (my) own : Turning every maiden into a Disney Princess and transforming all the fair men into Prince Charming, Chelsea’s Enchanted Wedding Fair will be an event no bride or groom-to-be can afford to miss. With Chelsea’s Enchanted Wedding Fair, we intend to double the charm. The event will truly turn the venue into an enchanted castle complete with the Enchanted Hall, the Corridor of Charms, and the Fairytale Room. Was it enchanted ? Not hugely. If there was a fairytale theme, I didn t really see it. Just lots of lovely suppliers in a sensibly-sized ven

Wonderful #destinationwedding  in Croatia
Love Story: Emma and Chris - A simple destination wedding in Croatia This love story is set against the backdrop of a small, simple, destination wedding. Emma and Chris knew early on that they were going to go abroad to get married. Lovers of holidays and golden tans, they didn t want to risk their day being ruined by rain (although as it transpired there was a torrential storm two days before their wedding day in Croatia). They didn’t have a huge budget as they had bought a house together the year before so they decided on a small affair. Croatia calling They initially looked at Italy and Greece, before coming across a lovely wedding planner called Kike at a company called Do You Wed Me in Dubrovnik, Croatia, who didn’t laugh at their budget! She gave Emma and Chris some options as to what they could afford and they came up with a package perfect for them. The wedding planner had her own florist, recommended the restaurant and arranged the photographer. Emma would highly recommend a wedding planner for a des
