My first attempt at knitting. Click through for all the details!
I picked up a copy of Better Homes and Gardens’ “Your Knitting & Crochet Collection” magazine at the supermarket and the Tulip cropped knitted vest caught my eye.

I'm still procrastinating sewing pants for myself. At least I've rounded up some great resources for making sure those pants fit!

I'm slowly tidying up my kitchen drawers. Here's how I organise my muffin and baking trays.
I recently headed into the kitchen to make baked donuts. On opening my drawer of baking trays and muffin pans, I realised the donut pan was right at the bottom. I hate digging around in drawers to find the right pan. Something had to be done! A trip to IKEA was required (OK, it was …

Sunday was the opening of Grease is the Word. Here's my review of the night, with a few sewing patterns thrown in for inspiration! #greaseblogger
Sunday night was opening night of the Grease musical here in Perth, and I was lucky enough to get two tickets. Nothing compares to the movie, and if you’re expecting an exact replica, you may be disappointed. I was a little worried how it would play out on the stage, but the end result was …

Looking for a random thing to clean? Check the use-by dates of your sunscreens.
Some of you are heading into summer and others (like me!) are hibernating for winter. Either way, it’s a good time to sort through your sunscreen collection. The other night when my kids were having a bath, The kids were playing nicely and I was feeling a bit bored, so why not take the opportunity …

The placemats I made on the weekend used Heat'n'Bond Vinyl to make the fabric wipe clean. Here's the tutorial for how I made them:
We recently bought a new dining table – a big Marri (hardwood) table that should last us an eternity. The previous table was a cheapy, bought second-hand. We didn’t really care about it, so we didn’t use placemats or tablecloths. Now that we’ve got one we want to look after, it was time to get …

How did we end up with so many bowls? I'm clearing the clutter to create space for what I really need!
After tidying my baking and muffin trays drawer, I’ve agonised over my other kitchen drawers. Every time I open the crockery drawer, I notice that we own a lot of bowls: All different types of bowls – pasta, soup, breakfast, noodles – we have different bowls for all of them. Which is ridiculous, I know. …

Learn to love the laundry with #RadiantReturn  and win a $50 Big W gift card:
I look forward to laundry day. There, I’ve said. I’ve got to the point where I enjoy doing the laundry. I’ve complained in the past about how the washing takes ALL day, even if you’re only doing a load or two. So how did this mind-shift happen? Well, a bit like Miss Elizabeth Bennett’s love …

If you've got scraps a pretty fabric print, make padded hair clips like this butterfly:
The butterflies on the fabric were just so pretty, that I decided the gift needed butterfly hair clips too. Here’s the tutorial for how to sew butterfly hair clips:
