If you want a boost for the day and a detox at the same time, consider lemon water each morning. Read about its benefits here.
Drinking vitamin C rich lemon water helps your gut by stimulating the production of hydrochloric acid, a critical ingredient needed by our stomach to digest and expel waste. Lemon is known to neutralize free-radicals in our body, and helps greatly in balancing our body’s pH levels (more on that below). And there are plenty more benefits that I want to share with you too. Humans lack the capability to make their own vitamin C. It has been thought, to this point, that we need to get vitamin C from the diet (or supplements).

It's been known for a while that your gut bacteria provide your body with nutrients. Could it be that there's another way to get vitamin C?
Amazing new research indicates that humans are capable of synthesizing vitamin C via their highly complex and capable microbiome.

Processed foods, food additives, and sweeteners can disrupt your gut bacteria. The evidence is mounting that the state of your intestinal "microbiome" has a large bearing on your overall health, including your mental health. So, does this mean that processed foods can cause depression?
Processed foods that can cause or aggravate depression include refined sugar, gluten, GMOs, glyphosate, artificial food additives, and sweeteners.

Dr. Pat Nardini is the best! Professional and understanding, the only Doctor that has been able to get my poor health on the road to good health and feeling so much better. I came to Dr. Pat with Osteoarthritis with joint pain and very slow digestion with heart burn and a blotted stomach. High blood pressure and my blood sugars were high as well my cholesterol. All these numbers are down and normal. I have learned so much about eating well and excercise now in my Life!!
