Introduction

Founder of Full Circle Associates, I support organizations in connecting through online and offline strategies.  I'm an online interaction designer, facilitator and coach for distributed communities of practice, online learning, distributed teams and online communities. I have a special interest in the NGO/NPO sector. I blog at http://www.fullcirc.com/ as well as teach, present and write on online facilitation and interaction, social architecture and social media (http://www.fullcirc.com/community/communitymanual.htm). I am co-author with Etienne Wenger and John Smith of  “Digital Habitats: stewarding technology for communities.”

I happily confess to to online interaction, learning  and chocolate addiction. I live in Seattle with my husband and have two grown sons and a granddaughter.

Spreading my favorite meme, CONFUSIASM #udgagora   #km4Dev
Many years ago at a #KM4Dev community meeting, Carl Jackson coined the word "confusiasm," a combination of confusion and enthusiasm. This has become a way of being for me. We used this concept at the University of Guadalajara Diplomate program on mobile tech for engagement.

Seattle, WA: Facilitation Training & Practicum (9/11-9/12/15 & 10/8 & 10/29/15, 9am-5pm) www.kcdrc.org/product/facilitation-training-and-practicum-september-11-12-and-october-8-29-9am-to-5pm/
The DRC is hosting this inspiring and experiential two-day workshop, plus a follow-up practicum, for developing or deepening participatory group leadership skills. We all sit through meetings that could be more effective! Many people are too nervous to assume leadership roles that require open-ended facilitation, unsure if they could handle what might emerge. This is an opportunity to gain clarity and competence with a range of facilitation frame...

One of the studios at our UdG Agora F2F was about creating and using memes for engaging learners. Here are some fun examples of practicing meme creation, and a few that are truly exceptional teaching tools. (For more see http://udg.theagoraonline.net/studios/meme-media/)

Great baked goods, reasonable prices and warm people behind the counter.

I ate at Nerone this month on a warm Roman night. Unhurried but friendly service, basic Roman food and reasonable prices. My melone with prosciutto was perfect. The cannelloni was a bit heavy, but Roman pasta always feels heavy to me. The pannacotta with summer berries was DIVINE. I'd go back for that.

After hearing about SAID from a friend (thanks, Romolo) we finally made it last week. 11 of us sat at the big table in the back and tried almost everything on the menu, passing plates, exclaiming, taking photos and of course, eating. The ricotta sformata starter was my favorite, and after that, it was hard to say what was better. It was all fabulous. The chocolates in the front store are also excellent - some of the best I've had in Italy. SAID is a "don't miss!"
