The National Glass Centre, Sunderland will be the new venue for the 2015 NADJ Conference & AGM. Unfortunately due to the Royalty Theatre putting some unreconcilable logistical issues in our way at the last minute we have had to secure another venue and The National Glass Centre have some fantastic conference spaces available.

Many of our members have met Kris Dawber from American DJ UK at our branch meetings and events like BPM. We've just heard some news that may mean he's busier than ever.

The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) would like to congratulate Kris on his new appointment at ADJ. He's just been appointed European Sales Manager for American DJ Europe.

From one of his recent updates on Facebook, it looks like he's heading to Holland to take up his new role. We hope you settle in and look forward to catching up with Kris in the near future. Good luck!

Tina, our 4th Seminar speaker would like some questions/insights in advance of next Sunday, so if there's a business matter that you just can't crack or something you can't get you're head around then pose it in the commentson our FB page at http://www.facebook.com/nadjuk. It can be anything business related. Marketing, dealing with clients, branding etc. She won't be able to tell you what to play after Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams though. (* Bon Jovi Living On A Prayer of course).
So get posting those issues and we'll get her to address them on Sunday the 26th of April.

NADJ Holiday Dates

● Friday 3rd April (from 11am)
● Saturday 4th April
● Sunday 5th April
● Monday 6th April

The Easter holidays are almost upon us and some of the the team of volunteers here at the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) will not be available during the Bank Holiday weekend. In particular, our Membership Officer, John Forbes, will not be processing new/renewing memberships or processing PAT test documents during the above dates.

Normal service will resume on Tuesday 7th April 2015. If your membership subscriptions lapse over the Easter Holidays, please renew in advance as your membership can be processed and carried over for one year from the current expiry date. Renewing early does not mean you lose any days of membership, but if you let your subscriptions lapse, all benefits of membership stop and only re-start when it is processed by our team.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during the holiday period and we hope that our members can also enjoy some well deserved time off.

If you would like to know a little more about one of our seminar hosts at the NADJ AGM & Conference 2015 (DJ Expo) at the Royalty Theatre in Sunderland on Sunday 26th April, please take a look at Roger Squire's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/Roger-Squire-DJ-History/1609698965931068

There was a big jump in the number of people following that page when we announced that Roger was presenting a seminar at our Conference, so there are a lot of DJs keen to know more. We also had some great feedback when we announced that Andy Pickles, one of the key people behind Jive Bunny, is presenting a seminar on business branding.

Full details of the event can be found on the dedicated website with a full list of articles, exhibitors and seminars. There's guidance for those travelling to the venue, information on where to stay, suggestions on where to dine and a whole lot more: www.djexpo.co.uk/category/articles/

The event is FREE for members of the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) and £5 for non-members.
