This was the first place I hit up when I moved into the city. So good. While I don't have a ton of places to compare to, I'm totally planning on going all the time. Go for the baked pork buns, dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaf and pretty much anything else. Long waits on the weekends so don't go starving.

Thought I was coming in for traditional bahn-mi's but Bun Mee puts their own spin on Vietnamese cuisine. Tried the Belly Bun and Chili Fries during happy hour one day and while it was pretty good, it didn't satisfy my need for a true Vietnames bahn mi. I'll definitely go again though! And the cool decor definitely helped!

I've been coming here years before they opened their current location. Banana crunch french toast is what you need to order if you're a first timer, or frankly if you visit every week. You'll get a TON of food no matter what you order. Service is always great. I went last week and sat outside on the back patio. Try and avoid if it's super hot as the dozens of flies will literally bug you the entire time. Other than that, a great place for a meal!

I used to come here when Flying Pig first opened up and before there wasn't a long line to get in. Such a great addition to Oceanside and the chefs are really doing it up here. Homemade pastas, flat breads, burgers, risotto...there's so much great stuff on the menu. Local craft beers are on tap here and at an extremely reasonable price. Glad to see these guys finding so much success!

There aren't a ton of Peruvian places in SD county but Panca is doing it right. Go for the any of their sandwiches, papa a la huancaina, or the lomo saltado. And don't forget the Inca Cola! My Peruvian friends took me here -- and continue to dine here -- so you know it's good!

Fast and friendly service and some of the best croissants, cookies and pastries I've eaten in a long time. Everything is baked daily so go for whatever is straight from the oven. Ham and cheese croissants are rich and buttery and the all day bun is to die for. Excellent espresso as well!

Where else can you go for ANY vodka cocktail for only $7?!? The daily happy hour is extremely popular on the weekends so it's not the easiest place to get a table. But once you get a spot, get adventurous with your cocktails and vodkas and you might just find a new favorite drink. I usually get the calamari and the sushi rolls off the happy hour menu. The full menu is a bit pricey so happy hour really is the best way to check out the scene and try out the menu.
